October 2018 - How soon should we book?

Ive seen that it's important to book early, especially for holidays. I know that Halloween isn't in the same realm of Thanksgiving/Christmas but do we still need to book early? How early? Due to the size of the RV (41' I think) we plan to get a premium site. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Depends on what part of October you want...Halloween at the Fort is as booked up as Christmas! Earlier in the month is easier to get but bottom line is book what you think you need as early as you can to be sure of availability...

My advice is that if you want Halloween and a premium site.......not required but offers plenty of room for a 41 footer, book now. If you do a room (campsite) only, you can cancel up to within 5 days of your check in.

We are booked for 10/27/18 thru 11/4/18. We were there for our first Halloween in 2016 and had an absolute blast. I can understand why this is such as popular time to be at the Fort. Unfortunately we did not get Halloween this year due to DW work schedule. We are booked for 10/9/17 thru 10/15/17 though.

ASAP, there is only 1 Fort! You can book 499 days out.

For a "room only" it is never too soon to book. We just finished booking our 4 week mid-Oct to Mid Nov, 2018 stay.

We just pulled the trigger on 10/23 - 11/2 with a preferred site. As mentioned, it's best to book as soon as you know when you want to go. Premium and preferred sites near Halloween are usually gone almost a year out.
