Must your entire stay fall within the FD dates in order to get FD, or is it based on check in date??

It's based on check-in date so you can check in on the last day of the offer and be ok.

Good luck to everyone trying to get free dining today! Our dates were blocked out (10-17 to 10-24). We booked a condo in WH again.

The resort I wanted was not available my dates, so I opted to book anyway and will watch for RO discount.
I couldn't risk not being able to get the flight I wanted. I saw one flight sold 10 seats before I booked, so before prices go up or I can't get seats I decided to bite the bullet. I'm going!!!!! And again as things calm down over the next few days I'll see what happens.

Hmmm I guess I can add Oct 2015 to my signature.

Hi all.

I'm new here and new to disney. I feel a little overwhelmed. We wanted to stay at the polynesian in October, after October 3. But I will need to get the 30% off discount or will need to look at other hotels.

How does everyone find out when certain discounts are coming out? Or do I need to just call at 6am everyday to see if the room only discount for my dates has come out? Is 6am the time to call and can you call earlier?

Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to get a standard room at Pop with FD for 10/25-31 early this morning. I'm probably going to add two nights RO since we wanted to travel earlier.

Just booked at the BoardWalk for 10/28-11/1...my fiance and I decided we felt like taking a little trip to F&W after having so much fun 2 years ago! Does anyone know if there's an October 2015 facebook group? I've been in a group the last 2 trips I took and it's such a helpful planning resource!

I'm so glad I checked in today. The rumors were that today would be FD for Disney Visa cardholders...which I'm not. And general public on May 1. Just booked 9 nights at ASMu with FD and am very happy!

I booked us at AS Sports with the free dining for 10/25-30. I booked a RO on 10/24. I also booked my mom in a RO 10/24-30 since she is a Florida resident and it doesn't make sense for her to do the package. So when do the RO or FL resident discounts come out???

I feel your pain--we're in the same boat. I was really impressed with our travel agent though--she contacted us early this morning to see if we had the option of shifting our days a bit so we'd be eligible for the free dining plan. We aren't able to adjust our days, but I'm so glad we have a TA who is taking care of us. I was hesitant to not just do everything myself with this trip, but it's been great having her help. Thank you Lisa from Small World Vacations!!

My TA tried- on hold for like 3 hours. Looked at our resort (CR) and also GF and Poly. CR and GF only Club Level available and Poly booked solid for FD for our stay. Hopefully, there will be a Fall discount for the room.

Very excited. Just booked Yacht Club with free dining Oct 25-31. Waited on the phone for 1 hour and 50 minutes to finally talk to someone. Good luck to everyone still trying as so many locations were already unavailable.

Just called and we had a pin code that they hadn't emailed us about yet. We were offered a room only discount and it covered our Columbus Day dates. Hurrah! It never hurts to call and ask.

We too are joing the FD blackout club but hey, what can ya do? Our dates aren't flexible as we have a school principal in our family and so we have to go during his fall break (he wasn't happy when we suggested leaving him at home) But now we all have our fingers crossed for another kind of offer to come out!!

I have never been to WDW in the fall without FD so I don't even know if historically they do many RO discounts through October? Or if they might offer a Canadian resident discount at that time (I'm a Canadian traveling with my American family) since Canadian schools don't do a fall break? Anybody ever have any luck with those?

We called yesterday, they told us Visa Card members only. After reading that they changed it. I started calling at 5am. Then they told us that all the FD allotment for Port Orleans (where we were already booked) are gone. I'm super sad because we have the correct dates! Hoping and praying we get a discount of some kind! We are book October 2-10.

Keep trying. Sometimes rooms with FD become available because of cancellations. Good luck

Stacey, we always go Columbus week. Minnesota has a state wide teacher conference at the end of that week. Last year we did get a room only discount and then we booked through Orbitz with a promo code for an extra 15%. I believe the discount structure was value-15%, moderate 20% and deluxe 30%. It came out at the same time as FD last year though.

So bummed! Can't find anything available for FD during our stay in Oct. Guess I will keep trying.
