Got ours at BWV for Oct, took a lot of work piecing days together but worked for a wife and I F&W trip!!!

I just went on the wait list today. Bonus trip for a conference end of Oct. so I decided to stay on points vs. paying for the conference room. Of course only thing available at this late date in a studio is SSR. Booked 10/26-29 & wait listed BWV garden/pool view studio & VWL studio. I didn't even bother trying BCV because I know that won't come through. Not holding out much hope I'll get either of these but you never know. I'm already booked in a 1 BR for Columbus Day weekend at BCV so I can't complain too much.

Been on the wait list since the 7 month mark for AKV value for Oct 21-26. We have a standard booked but love the value location better.. Good luck all

Still waiting for only one night at BCV. Been waiting 4+ months, since the morning of the 7 month window. What's confusing is that the room was available until literally a minute before I booked, I had to book through MS but was watching it online. So I figured I'd be near the front of the line and being only one night it would surely come through. Now I'm beginning to think the 60 day mark (next week) is my last hope.

Crazy because 2 years ago I wait listed 5 nights at BCV in a 2br at the 5 month mark and all the nights came through 2 weeks later. October (and most of the rest of the end of the year) has gotten crazy busy. Like I've been saying for awhile, it's time for a points reallocation!!

i agree how crazy it has become.
we bought BWV in 1999, then added on at BCV & SSR. we used points at the other DVC resorts using combinations of those points.
we decided BWV was still our favorite, and were able to book BWV at just under 7 months, with little to no problems.

for the past few years however, we have had to WL nights of every single BWV vacation when using non-BWV points (booking even just an hour into 7 months). now, we save our BWV points for our Oct trips.

So there is potential WL movement at 60 days? What about at 30 days? When is all hope gone? lol.

We find that we watch the resale sites to see the possibility of the waitlist moving!!

This year, DH is able to join me after my BCV stay with DSis. We were well into the 7 month period when he decided to come. 3 nights...even SSR had no studio available...so, I booked a 1 bedroom rather than chance a wait list. OKW did not have a studio nor. 1 bedroom...dates 6 to 9.

I rarely book 1 bedrooms for the 2 of us, but I see how so many people want to go during F&W, I strayed from my normal booking plan to be sure we had a room.

10/18. I actually have a 2 bedroom with 2 queens but am wait listed for a lockoff, so I'm just being greedy bc I don't want to switch after 1 night.

60 days is when you have to cancel if you want to bank points and not have them go into holding.

31 days out is when you have to cancel to keep points from holding. As far as being able to bank points when you cancel that would be completely related to one's use year and the rules on when you need to back you points.

My waitlist just came in!!!! Wow! I never thought it would happen at this point in the game. (We booked right at 7 months as renters). So now we are in a standard studio at BLT. While I would have still loved the sav view at AK Kidani having the monorail with a 3 year old will be perfect. I'll try AKV next time.

Nice! Congratulations. Glad to hear someone from this thread is having good luck. Still nothing for me but I'm not really expecting it to come through but it would be awesome if one of them did!

One of my two waitlists came in for BCV! Now I have 3 straight nights the 10-13 of Oct!!! WOOHOO! Now I do not have to worry about taking my meeting from the lobby!

Now I need to pray we get our other waitlist, but that one is unlikely as it is a week in a 2bd. Oh well, VWL is nice too so I am not too concerned.
