october 2011 and crowds

We were there Oct 8-12th, 2009 and on the Saturday they closed the gates for a while it was so busy! It was also the UEA weekend that year so that accounts for some of it. I don't know how much this plays into crowds but it is also Canadian Thanksgiving Oct 12-14th this year and we know a lot of people that head to Disneyland at this time as well.

Just so you know, quite a few Arizona school have their fall break the week of the 10th through the 15th. A lot of families travel to Disneyland over this time. We have been in October when the crowds have been large, but manageable. However, it can still be rather warm in October too.

Also the week of 17-22 this year. But it has never been too bad.

I agree with the general sentiment that October is no longer an off season. It seems that crowds have really come out in October and continue all through January. I was there yesterday (10/2) and they routed us out to employee parking because the M&F structure was nearly full (we arrived late afternoon).

As for the OP question, I see you booked your dates and I'm sure those will work out fine for you. Plan accordingly ... meaning if you expect heavier crowds then you won't be disappointed.
