October 2009 or Jan 2010?

It's cheaper in january. It's colder in january. Most rehabs and refurbs are done in january.

October is warmer and most of the attractions are open. Not much more expensive than january.

In terms of rates, Oct and Jan are probably about the same. You might score free dining in Oct. There have been Jan deals in the past, usually just a room discount and a package deal, like "free" hopper and water parks added on, but it might be better this time around.

We went at the end of January one year and it was wonderful! I am one of those people who avoids Florida heat at all costs (unless I'm at the beach!), so to me the weather was perfect. The crowds were really light, too.

We've never been in Oct, but we were there in late Sept and it was still very warm. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party starts is going on in Oct if thats something you all would like to do.

Good luck deciding! You'll have fun either way!
