October 2009 Code Watch!!

dh wants me to switch to the pin code offer but we have to travel by the last week in sept. and then if we get a different code switch back to last week of Oct. I'm afraid that if we try to switch back that we won't get what we want. we are booked for AKL savanna view w/ bunk beds. This is our first deluxe stay and I don't want to mess it up.

We've been there the end of Sept. before and it's still really hot. End of Oct. is a little better. I don't mind the heat, but my kids and dh are always hot. I don't know what to do.

Yeah, if you already have a trip booked will they avoid sending you more PIN codes? I would love to get a better one, ours saved us some but it's just kids price for adults, nothing spectacular.

Not necessarily. I already had a trip booked and I got another code in the mail for kids to dine free.

I had originally booked my trip with a 40% off room code for a value resort. Then a few months later was emailed a free dining code for the end of October. We saved several hundred dollars and even upgraded to a mod resort. Don't count it out it could happen to you too.

Woohoo, I just got a PIN mailed to me at work, for free dining for our dates!!!! I have to call and see if it's better than the other PIN code. Woohoo!!!!

if i cant get the fdp in october , i'll stay elsewhere!the LOWER price, EXTRA NICE hotels(OFF PROPERTY) will save me money anyways and not tie me down to wdw! to be honest the dp is good (if free)but the food isnt! after all $31 dollars for a pasta dish. PLEASE

Wow. Really? We LOVE the food at WDW, eating out and trying new places for us is half the fun, free DP or not. Not to mention the gazillion benefits to staying on property. Hmm.

We considered staying off property this trip. With 2 small kids, we really needed some extra space and when I checked through AAA for rates on a 1 bedroom at a villa.... . There are some really great prices off site for 1, 2, and even homes.

In the end we rented points and are staying at SSR. The total cost will be what we paid when we stayed at POFQ in a parking lot view room.

We love the food too. There are so many restaurants and we like the ease of just staying in the park to eat. My DH likes the meal plan because you pay up front so when you are there you don't really think about money because it is prepaid. More relaxing for him.

Pin codes are given at random. Either by snail or email. It can only be used by the household named (typically).

There are general public codes that come out. The best thing to do is keep checking this board...disers here are in the know and they will post when something comes up! Good Luck!

We got a pin code in the mail today (actually, my husband did) for free dining on our dates (10/11-10/17)! We'd only had a room reservation, but after doing a little calculating we figure this is saving us about $600, so we changed the reservation.

After so many trips, it was about time we got a pin code! Good luck to everyone else waiting.

I am booking FD to check in on Oct 3 while I wait to see if anything else comes out.
We would really like to go later in Oct, however if nothing else is released at least we will be able to take advantage of something.

Anyway, if we change our minds on where we would like to stay can I make resort changes to the FD reservation after the booking deadline on July 26?

I really need a general public code this year! I am getting remarried next June, so this will be our last trip to WDW until at least 2011. Paying for a wedding and a trip to WDW in the same year is definitely a budget buster! Come on discount codes!

We are going 10/4 to 10/13 and are also waiting on a code. We would leave earlier, but we are getting married on 10/3. I wonder if my guests would care if I left as soon as the vows were done. I'm sure if I said it was for Disney they would understand.

current offer ends July 26th, so I hope a new offer starts immediately after that. I hope it covers the end of oct b/c that 's when I really want to go. We a have a trip booked for the end of sept too, but will cancel that one if we get oct offer. I hope to hear some thing soon.
