Welcome aboard! I actually decided yesterday to change our travel dates to 10/16/09 - 10/25/09 at Pop....Guess I better change my ticker!

Is is wrong to wait until April to book at CSR? Should I be concerned that there will not be rooms left for mid October?

I would book to secure the room. You can always make any changes (codes) and even cancel up to 2 months out. You just need to put down a deposit that is refundable. I'm booked at GF for Oct. and they didn't have many rooms left (so I was told)

I have also been sort of waiting for April to book CBR first week of Oct. Hoping for something to break by then. (Visa free dining or???)
If I went ahead and booked our rooms now, and later needed to change dates a bit to take advantage of an offer, how best to do this? Lets say I book Oct 3 to Oct 9. Then later there is a free dining offer, thru Sept 30. Can I cange my dates to Sept 30 thru Oct 5 or 6. Will I be charged? I'm I better off booking 10-14 days around the days we want to go (grandsons Bday Oct 4), and then dropping 2-5 days before paying in full?

Add me to the list of resort changers. I booked Poly and was just waiting for a code. DH said to me last week, why do Poly again (we stayed there last trip), let's do something new. Okay. So, I'm thinking Animal Kingdom Lodge. My DS2 would LOVE all of the animals. So, still waiting for a code.

I wish we knew! From what I understand it's pretty random. Some say those who order a planning dvd have a better chance.... I know you can get them through e-mail or via a postcard.

I booked the bounceback for the free dining. It was offered all the way into October ending on the second of October 2009.

They should release the free dining for the general public in April so if you can go at the very beginning of October it may help with the costs, if you can't get a PIN.

No you should be fine! We probably won't be book until then, too when our income tax checks come! Last year, we booked our October trip in March and we stayed at CSR - no problems booking!

So, lets say they offer free dining thru Oct 2nd, and we started our package on Oct 2nd, would I get the free dining though out our trip? I think that we have done this in a past trip.

Here is hoping that this year, of all years with the economy, that they extend free dining. We are going in Oct and it would be great to eat free.

We have not booked yet. I am waiting to see when Fall break for the kids will be. We should find out pretty soon.

I am still wondering of I should book two rooms at a Value or one at POR. Five of us in one room.... We just did this in Gatlinburg and all I could think of was what a week of it at Disney be like.

Cool! Can I ask what dates were included for Oct? (thats when we want to go) Does the 40% include moderates? I keep hoping, but no pin yet.

The dates for Oct include 1-3 and 25-31. The 40% off does include Moderate and deluxe resorts. Just trying to decide if we should leave before Halloween or stay and enjoy the trick or treating.

I am brand new here. I have been to WDW twice. But both times we have stayed right outside of Disney. This year, we are taking my daughter and she will be 14 months. We really want to stay on property so that we can take her back for naps easily.

I have no idea how to even begin to book a vacation to disney. But we are going from Oct 17-24th so I guess I will need to keep an eye on this thread!!
