October 2009 Code Watch!!

Now..does anyone know if conceirge will do anything special if there is a birthday during the trip? Especially this year w/the promotion???

Congrats on the discount! Someday I hope to be able to afford concierge/club level at AKL! I want to go on that Sunrise Safari so bad!! LoL :rotfl2:

Anyway, all of the resorts will leave a balloon and a card signed by a character in the room while you are gone if you ask them. I'm not sure if concierge level will do anything MORE than that, but asking will at least get you the balloon and the card! At least that's my experience and we got it at ASMo and POFQ!

4 weeks ago I made ressies for WL for our 7th wedding anniversary and got an amazing rate for the honeymoon suite, conceirge level for this coming weekend. My husband shockingly said "book it" :cool1: about 1 week later I was checking rates for March for my neices 5th b-day and figured since it was peek time there was no way we could afford my family and brothers family to stay on site. But, 2 days later Magic was bestowed upon us again and I received a 40% off pin code. Whoo Hooo WL in March for my neices
5th b-day, their 1st disney family trip and our first trip together with our families. Thanks DISNEY :hyper: :cool1: :cool1:

Sadly I'm inquring this for my parents (who get to go, but not me :sad2: ), but I was wondering if anyone can tell me what October season is like? Does any of it fall into value season? They are planning on going sometime around Oct.19th for my mom's birthday (and free admission), so I was just wondering. Also, how crowded is it?

Thanks!

We're booked two weeks after your parents will be going. It's not a peak time so we've found that the prices for rooms were a bit cheaper than in the spring or summer. It all depends on who they choose to book through though:goodvibes

I second nittany's question. Is the contemporary packed in the fall? How about the parks? :upsidedow

We went in October 2007 and found the that the parks were not overly crowded. AK was packed one day because MNSSHP was going on at the MK that night....so people went to AK (since it closes earlier than the other parks) during the day then hit the party that night. Therefore, my advice would be to try and do AK on a day when MNSSHP is not happening. The crowds were nothing like they were on my July and September trips!

Value season ends October 1, and the rest of October is considered regular season. October is a nice time to go as far as crowds go. Here is the link for the 2009 resort rates:

do i call visa customer service to find out code? I've already booked for oct 09 through AAA, can I call them with code to get discount if I have one??

The Disney Visa Discounts don't usually come out until a month before...so for October, the discount would be available in September. If you go to mousesavers or WDWinfo.com, they usually list the available discount codes.

I don't know if you can use BOTH discounts or not....anyone else know the answer to this? I've never been able to get 2 discounts for the same trip!

Were there any discounts for October last year??

Yes, there were 2 that I remember. One was just for Disney Visa Card holders and the other was a discount for the general public. Both came out around September and they are both first come, first serve. They do not apply to all resorts. We were staying at CSR and they kept trying to get me to switch to SSR in order to get the discount but it still would have cost an extra $600 or something. Which, don't get me wrong, for SSR the rate they were offering was fantastic but staying at a mod as opposed to a value was a big step for us...nevermind jumping to a deluxe! So we ended up not being able to use either of the codes that came out.

I have a trip booked for Nov using the 40% email that some got. But my kiddos would have to take a full week of school off. I'm thinking of going Columbus week when they already have 3 days off instead but just can't decide! I don't want to be crowded and have to pay a lot more! Tough decision.

If your kids are good students I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy your vacation and your time with them. :)

Going on the cruise October 24th, coming in on the 31st.
Would really love to do MNSSHP, and would love to get one of these codes to reserve a room cheaply!
I've been on one other cruise, have a Disney Card too, but have never received a coupon/code.

pixiedust: I want one!::yes::

Subbing...hoping for something Oct 14-18...never done the Halloween party or Food & Wine.

Seriously, if you aren't already a AAA member you should consider joining. You can get a pretty decent discount on the room prices and sometimes airfare, too. I'm not sure what kind of a discount they offer on park tickets. I called about them once a few years ago but we needed 8-day passes and we could get like up to 7 days, or we could get 10-day passes. Now that I think about it, it probably would have been cheaper to buy the 10-day with no expiration and use the remaining 2 days on another trip

DH and I booked the FD bounceback and will be staying at POFQ Oct.3rd to Oct. 11th. My son would like to come down for a few days, so I'm hoping for an extended free dining code or 40% off pin, for him. The 4/3 deal would not work because I doubt he will be able to stay for that long.

No one in our family has ever rec'd a pin code.....so I quess I won't hold my breath on that one!!

Hey everyone! Waiting for October 2009 discount codes to come out! I didn't get anything last year because I waited too long so maybe I'll get lucky this year!!

We are (hopefully) headed to WDW Oct. 9 - Oct. 18, 2009! :woohoo:

Does anyone know if there are only certain resorts that codes are released for? We really want to stay as CSR but's almost $4000 and that only includes 8-day base tickets (no hopping, water parks, etc), and the DDP...I haven't even added in airfare yet! So I'm hoping that we can get a good discount on the room so that by the time we add in airfare we won't be totally broke!

We are doing the same thing. We will be there from Oct 11th - 18th at POR with park hoppers & dining plan for 5, one child, and it is 4016.25. I NEED A CODE!! :lmao: Lets keep our eyes & ears open and help each other. :grouphug:

I think that the last time when we went in Oct, the codes came out in August or Sept. I can't remember, but I think that's right.
