Last year the free dining package stopped on Oct 1.

In either late July or early August last year, free dining came out again for the rest of October.

I had booked in January for a trip Oct 2-13. No free dining when I did that booking.

When free dining for October was announced in the summer, I called and modified my reservation from room only to the fd package.

If the rooms are not being rented for the fall/October this year in advance, it could be another fd package will be released during the later part of the summer like last year.

Don't give up hope.
Pixie dust might happen again for 09.

As far as I know, there was no free dining for the full month of Oct last year. Are you sure about that? My brother in law & I searched like crazy for it when they went last Oct. and we could only find a discount for the room. Not only that, but I'm not sure that they have ever offered free dining to US Citizens during the Food & Wine time. I pray that they do this year though, that would be wonderful!!

"Bounceback" free dining

Became available: 8/31/07, exp 9/28/07, extended through 10/12/07

Became available: 4/12/07, exp 6/24/07

"Bounceback" free dining

Became available: 11/8/06, exp 12/31/06

If you have a Disney Rewards Visa the dates are the same for the public free dining, but the offer is released a little sooner. Free dining for UK residents has slightly different dates available as well.

As far as I know, there was no free dining for the full month of Oct last year. Are you sure about that? i really did get the free dining.
i had a room booked with the aaa rate but canceled that and booked the package when it was announced valid for october 08.

One more thing. They also extended free dining for Disney Visa cardholders in 2008.

i was there and checked in on 10/2.
i had the free dining for 9 days with the package for disney visa holders.


i checked disney and my visa sites frequently and found it there.
sometimes it is over looked on what is on the disney site for special packages.


i have been able to book a package with free dining for the last few years.
i had it for 2006-7-8 and again for this year.

i booked with the bounceback program last oct before i checked out of my hotel room.

but, i would rather find a deep discounted room for this trip instead of the free dining.
i am going solo and rather have the cheaper room rate.
i couldn't eat all the food in the past 3 trips and know it will be too much food again on this fall trip.

if rooms are not filling up at disney for the fall/sept-oct, i am guessing more packages will be released.

What 40% off room code? Did I miss something? I got a free dining code dance3, but we do not spend a lot of money on food (breakfast in the room, packed lunches, counter-service meal for dinner, take our own snacks/pop/water) so I would rather get a good room deal. I know, who can believe I'm being picky?!?!?!

I received a 40% off your room discount card in the mail and another in my email. They were sent out randomly and could only be used by the person whose name was on it.

oh no!!!
We're going Oct2 -9, which means I will miss the discount!!! And this is the reason DH agreed we can go this year beacuse I told him more than likely we'll get a discount. uh oh!!! There's gotta be something for us!! All year so far there has been the buy 4 get 3 during the busiest time for Disney, so I can't see them not giving us October people anything! I hope there's something!

We have traveled many times that time of year and there has allways been a discount for that travel period. Disney had never offered free dining for that time period before last year and with the economy I would bet somthing, I would bet a repeat of last years disocunts. Bounce back had dates into Oct. but with the cut off looking like last years cut off it looks like of repeat dates for free dining end and Visa free dining start. I have a Disney Visa and we never use it, just have it in case something does come out for our travel period.

Right now we are booked 10/4-10/10 with free dining, BUT it was a bounceback offer. We have AP's (so we bought one day MYW tix) and right NOW it's $1800 for 2 rooms at ASMu with fd for 3 adults. If we don't get a better offer, I'm totally down with that one

I was checking out the historic discounts for last Fall on mousesavers, and it looks like there were a couple package discounts for mid Oct through Christmas. Does anyone know what kind of deals they were and what dates were excluded (I'm guess Thanksgiving for sure)?
