October 2008 Waitlist Thread

Today we called MS and picked up 3 of our dates 27th - 28th & 29th for SSR !!!

Now we are just waitlisted for 25th & 26th - which the MS we talked to today thought we had a really good chance to get them.

We are soo excited to make most of this trip our first trip home now !!!!

Called MS today and our waitlist for the last 2 days - 25th & 26th came through !!!

So now we have all the dates we wanted !!! We are so excited that our first trip home will be totally at our home resort !!!!

She also said that they are linked together so we will be in the same 1 bd for the entire stay !!!

Still waitlisted for a 2 bedroom at the BWV's for Oct. 26th-31st. BUT (happy-happy!) when I called MS the other day, I inquired if just by chance there was a 1 bedroom standard for Halloween and she said YES!

So right now Oct.26th-31st at OKW and the one night of Oct. 31st at the BWV's!

We actually cancelled our waitlist for a studio at VWL for 10/25-29. We're traveling with friends who were further down the list than us so we figured we'd all stick with AKV rather than running the risk of being split up. Good luck to all the rest of you who are waiting

I got on the wait list again after the 30-day mark for a 1BR at BWV for Oct. 9. My reservations are a mess. I have 2 reservations for the same weekend. I'm trying to rent one out on the DVC rent/trade board. Everyone who wants to rent seems to need an additional night or changed reservation. I'm also on a wait list for one potential renter for the 12th in a 1BR at BWV, but if it doesn't come through soon, I'll lose that renter. I don't usually have these issues. I really messed myself up this year.

Still waiting on waitlist for my sister & her family. Need 10/26 to 11/01, studio at OKW. I'm getting pretty nervous because she doesn't have a room yet and the rest of the family does. I'm paralyzed by fear of changing my waitlist and ending up at the bottom with a new waitlist-otherwise I would book the 2 nights that are available there (10/28 & 10/31...but I'm sure 10/31 will stay available!) I think I'm going to call member services tomorrow and see if 1-they have all dates at SSR for a studio for her, or 2-they have a 1BR at OKW for 10/26 to 10/31, then have her move to a studio the night of the 31st, since that has been open the whole time. God, help me!!!

Well I got moved from SSR to OKW for Oct 2-5th in a studio. We went back on the waitlist at AKV, BCV, VWL and BWV just in case something else opens up in the next two days. I don't know if I will call DBD at 7 days....but who know

No, I talked to a MS and was told I can always use the points to put her in a moderate resort. And since she can't afford to pay for a room, and this trip is on me, I'm going to use points to put her in at POR (was told there is room there) if no studios become available. yeah, I'm kind of freaking. She wasn't able to confirm she was going with us until the first part of August.

Just found out we got our wait list for October 26th at AKV to round out our visit. Strange thing was we got a Value room and I thought those would be hard to come by.

I got a call from MS today to let me know a BW view 1BR had become available for the 9th. I took it. We'll have to move after that one night since I had standard view for the rest of the week, but at least I'm all set now.

I dropped the OKW Studio for Oct. 9-12, so hopefully that will help someone else out.

WOOHOO!! Got my sister into SSR studio for our nights! Still waitlisted for OKW, but at least she has a room and is just next door!!! They only had Monday to Saturday, but that is ok because #1-MS said there is a good chance OKW will come through and the 5 nights at SSR is 65 pts where the 6 nights at OKW will only be 61 points (I'll only loose 4 pts) and #2-we arrive on Friday anyway, so when the rest of us move from CSR on Sunday, she will just need to wait until Monday to move. I'm am so relieved!!!

Our wait list finally came thru for the BC 1 Bdrm for October 25th thru November 1 so we gave up our 1 Bdrm at VWL.

Hope that opens up a chance for someone else!

Woo Hoo my waitlist finally came through. I called a few days ago and
Oct 22nd was available but still not Oct 23rd in a 1 bd at BCV. So I had 5 night at BCV in a one bedroom but was still waiting for the last night. It came through today, so now I don't have to move to BWV for the last night. Yeah. I am so happy.
