Saturday 18th October

We were up early today to get our Mears Shuttle to Islands of Adventure, we arrived nice and early around 9.15am. We walked straight on to Spiderman – this is a great ride, Hulk is brilliant too. I love Dr Doom – DH isn’t too keen – for some reason he doesn’t like being shop up in the air and then dropped back down – haven’t a clue why?

We walked around to Dueling Dragons – we put our bag in a locker and DH took his shoes off and put those in the locker too as he was scared he would loose them on this ride. We walked through the caves – it is so dark in there – and then did Fire first of all, we came off and queued straight up for Ice when we got to the front the attendant said to DH that he couldn’t let him ride without being in possession of his shoes. We explained we had just been on and the shoes are in the locker but he wouldn’t let us on. He let us go out the exit to get DH shoes and then go back via the baby swap area to get straight back on. When we got back we got on the ride and DH sat on his shoes – this was fine apparently – he didn’t have to wear them. So we guess he just had to prove he had shoes.

We headed to Pizza Prededatori and got some lunch, here we were meant to meet Clare from the DIS – but unfortunately her dad was ill so we never did meet up.

We had pretty much finished up here at Islands of Adventure, so headed out to the shops at City Walk and spent some more pennies in Quiet Flight I got a lovely Roxy lanyard to use for my passes at work and a new O’Neil bag to put all my goodies in. We picked up a yummy Frappachino at Starbucks and then got the shuttle back to the Boardwalk.

Once back we had to pack as were changing resorts tomorrow – I was very happy I brought that new bag. We were then heading out for our Fireworks Cruise. We got the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then the boat to the Wilderness Lodge – it was a great trip on the boat. When we arrived we had a good nose around as I am hoping to stay here at the villas one day. The lodge looked gorgeous – it was lovely to see it in daylight as last time it was extremely dark when we ate at Artist Point. We stopped by at Roaring Forks and got some dinner – I thought this was a cute counter service place. We went and sat on the beach for a little while and made friends with some ducks until a screaming little girl chased it away :)

We headed over to the Marina for our Fireworks Cruise we met Stacey, Louise, Michelle, Junior, Frank, Melissa, Jeff, Sarah and Michelle all here from the Dis :bounce: Everyone was lovely and Stacy had her lime green bum bag on so we couldn’t miss her. We went out on the boat and looked at Discovery Island, River Country and Fort Wilderness before heading over to Seven Seas Lagoon. We drove past The Contemporary, The Polynesian and The Grand Floridian before settling for a place in the lake. Now you already know that we love WISHES fireworks and this was a gorgeous way to watch them. We tried to get dropped of at the Magic Kingdom but they wouldn’t allow us to dock there so we stopped off at the Contemporary and got the monorail back to the Magic Kingdom – some of the others on the cruise headed in to the Magic Kingdom to see Spectro we decided to head back to the Boardwalk and stopped in at the bakery and each got a cake – they were huge we really should have just got one to share.

Wonderful trip report ~ Thanx for sharing.
