Hey all!
We were pleasantly surprised by Universal. Upon arrival at the airport we were picked up by Cartier. They up-graded us to a Limo. (free of charge) because it was by son's birthday. (even hung a "happy birthday" sign in it). They were great! Stayed at the Royal Pacific. Room was a bit small but the hotel is beautiful. Had dinner at Tchoup Chop (??spelling??) - the banana cream pie is awesome as was the salmon and ribs. The atmosphere itself is wonderful and the help was very good. We'd been to Disney twice and really didn't expect Universal to be the caliber it is. IOA and Universal - both very impressive! IOA is definately great for the teenagers and those of us still young at heart. I'm afraid - at 42 - I prefer Universal - however, had a great time at both. My son (13) loved riding the Hulk and Dueling Dragons. Spiderman was awesome. He really enjoyed Citywalk and NBA City. We went to HHN. I'm afraid our expectations were so high that it didn't have much of an impact. We went into a couple of the haunted houses but found them to be a bit boring. We chose not to go to the rest. The rides and JP were pretty good at night. Enjoyed the atmosphere. We went on a non-peak night - maybe that was part of the problem. Anyway, HHN was okay but thought it kind of turned into one big beer fest for the teens. Rented a cabana on the last day at the hotel. That was nice. They made a great cake and decorated it. The people that work at the hotel and in the gym were great. (Jonathon was wonderful!). SeaWorld was great. Enjoyed the dolphins and rides very much. Went to Cirque Du Soleil - it was definately the highlight of the trip. Absolutely outstanding!!!! Thanks to you all for the suggestions and tips before going. Couldn't have had such a great time without your guidance. (DH thanks you as well. He enjoyed himself but we kept him running the whole time.)
