October 2 & 6, 2011 B2B Dream Cruising

OMG! It's now early Thursday morning and 30 hours from leaving! Crying out loud! Have to work all day tomorrow, but hoping to cut out early if I get a chance.

Laudry is done - Check
Pack cloths - Will do tomorrow after work
Clean house - tomorrow night
Cat supplies - During lunch
Print travel docs/cruise docs etc - Sometime at work when I get a break.

I have never been so far behind a trip as this one. Oh well, what is left behind can be bought and what isn't cleaned will stay dirty. At least my cloths are clean! :rotfl:

On airplane waiting to load news passengers. First leg done and getting closer to WDW! See if I can sleep got a whopping 1 hour last night.

Are we going to make 16 pages before we set sail tomorrow! Hope everyone has a great time on ths ship!

BTW, MK was packed today and Epcot was not as busy as I thought. Was able to pick up the FW vinylmation though, so that was good. Teppan Edo sucks now..wish they put it back to the way it used to be.

Going to breakfast in the AM, try to run and do a few vinyl trades and then head out around 10am to head to port. Might leave a bit later though so we don't have to wait at the terminal.

This should make page 16! Headed to the ship shortly!

Hope everyone had a great time on the ship! I sure did and can't wait to go again. My only real gripe is with the elavators. Those need to get fixed ASAP, but halfway through figured out if you don't use the mid ship lifts problem was almost solved.

Great vinly trades (thanks Okan!) and finished the pirates series too.

The week went by so fast too! Anyone else do the Atlantis Aquaventure? The water park was a blast!

Finally at home and in my own bed! Check back later for Mal Hombre's take on the two cruises...not for the faint at heart!
Working title is "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"....I know, that's not very original....

  1. Seven days away from work
  2. Connecting cabins are the way to go when cruising with kids
  3. If you watch your meds, it's difficult OD on Conch Coolers and Bon Voyages
  4. Benny (India) rocked as our stateroom host
  5. The food was wunderbar!
  6. Our dining servers and assistant servers were GREAT!
  7. The boat was incredible even after 65 cruises...it still smelled new!
  8. Kudos to Captian Gus for making the call to give Castaway Cay the wave-off when conditions were too rough to park the boat
  9. My princess daughter has celebrated two birthdays at sea...Her first in 2004 and ocho last week!
  10. She now knows starboard, port, bow, stern, forward, aft, midship, bulkhead, knots (speed) and bearing
  11. Not counting dips in the pool, the oldest son took one shower in seven days....guys are soooo low maintenance...no divas here!
  12. With exception of the last day, the weather was wonderful!
  13. Overall, two thumbs-up for this cruise

1. I left my quilt and pillows in our vehicle. Say what you want but I would have been more comfortable on an Army cot that with the bed in our cabin and that comforter.
2. We also forgot our door magnets from our previous three cruises. Also, It sends my wife to a three-foot hover when I put the "I Love My Carbon Footprint" and the "Me and my SUV: Doing our part for Global Warming" magnets on the cabin door. And I wonder why our middle child is a poker:-)
3. The cups are smaller at the drink stations than when we last cruised. My guess is that was a cost cutting move. I always pack-in my re-useable plastic so no biggie...Ha!
4. No more pineapple on the foo-foo island drinks? Again I'm sure that was a cost-cutting measure....instead of pineapple, we'll give you something we were going to throw away to begin with...
5. Never again will I do the sit down order off a menu breakfast on departure morning...Go to Cabanas or Topsiders and gorge yourself at 0600 one more time then off the boat! 'Nuff said....
6. And yes, the captain warned us but the ride back to Port Canaveral was unreal! It sucked we missed Castaway Cay due to the weather. (Again, this wasn't anyone's fault on the Dream but it deserves mention....
