October 1st Big Announcements?

Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of big announcements yesterday? I've searched on the web and haven't found anything.

What are the announcements?

I hadn't heard about any announcements yesterday. October 1 was the official kickoff of YOMD, the 35th Anniversary of the MK, and the 24th anniversary of Epcot.

There is a media event in New York on the evening of October 18 for WDW and DL. I'm sure there will be some announcements there.

It's an invitation only event for the media.
