It sounds like we will all be pretty busy tomorrow. I don't know if I will have a chance to get on.

If not, I hope everyone has a Blessed Thanksgiving!

That is great that Kaleigh is doing so well.

Good morning from snowy CO!!!!!

Mom - thanks for doing the shopping for me yesterday.

Mom - no ice, the roads are fine.

Yay, we just found out we get 3 hours off today!!! I get off in 3 hours!!

Woo Hoo, Heidi. Does that mean you will come over here and help babysit? Ya, right. Only in my dreams. Hey, don't forget about the boxes I have for you.

Good Morning!!

Sandy you sound really busy! We are going to Michelle's parents mountain house. Since tomorrow is my birhtday I told everyone I am not cooking!
I do have to bring a salad or a veggie so it is off to the store for me.

I am anxious for my secret santa person to open her gift. Today or tomorrow is fine since I know everyone will be really busy. Sure hope she likes it.

I have not been out on the roads yet. Tiffany and I had plans to spend the day in Denver but with the roads think we will stay around town.

Tonight is decorating the tree. Think we will make hot chocolate and popcorn. popcorn::

Going upstairs to vacuume and do a little cleaning before I leave for the day. I will check back to see if my secret santa read the board.

Oh my gosh Barb, you sound just like me. Hot chocolate and popcorn goes together for Halloween and tree decorating time. It would probably be best for you and Tiffany not to come to Denver. It looks slick but Heidi and Ted said it is ok. Who knows??????

Barb - HAPPY Early BIRTHDAY since you probably won't get on tomorrow to read your birthday wishes. :dance3:  :cheer2:  :flower3: pixiedust: :rockband: :cake: party: :bday: :jumping1: :rainbow:

Hi guys! It has been nuts around here, but when isn't it!

My secret santa family has to wait to next week. I'm still waiting for something so I will send it out HOPEFULLY this friday or saturday.

Heidi, you hair looks GREAT!

Sandy, we are suppose to get the snow tomorrow. I'm making my pecan pie today so all I have to make is the sweet potatos tomorrow. (that is if we decide to go to my brothers, if we don't, I will be making turkey tomorrow as well).

Barb, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hope you have a super day!

I made a turkey and stuffing yesterday for Garry's first grade class. They have a Thanksgiving feast in school and this teacher remembered how good the turkey was when Makenzie had her, so she asked if I could do it again. She did give me money for it, but I spent all day yesterday at the school. Brooke was soooooooooo good all day. EVERYONE knows who Brooke is in the school and she was acting like she belonged. She was reading the colors off the wall in Garry's room and his friends were talking to her and asking her to read this or what does that say or can you do this? She was so funny. She acting better then some of the other kids in the class.

Makenzie got her state reading scores yesterday. She got a 425 out of a possible 518!!! It is the state 3rd grade reading profiency test. She was only 7 points away from an "advanced" rating. She is got an "accelerated" score. The state average score is 408, the school's average was 406 and the district average was 404. I'm SO PROUD of her!!! She loves to read! And she is doing so well!! She got her report card and got straight A's and so did Garry!!! They are doing so awesome! Makenzie's gym teacher loves her and the music teacher thinks Garry is a wonderful kid. Sorry mom brag moment!

I spoke to both of their teachers and they said they will send some work home so they can work on it on the airplane or if we take a break during the day they can do some. I told the teachers that we are so proud of their work so far, we don't want them to fall behind and BOTH teachers said that neither one will have a problem and are so good in class, they are not concerned what so ever! That is so nice to hear. I know as a parent that I know my kids and if I thought that going on a vacation might hurt them educationally, we wouldn't go. But seeing how good they are doing and seeing the teacher's reactions that they are not concerned and don't have a problem that they are going to be gone for a week, it makes me feel good about our choice to go! We leave a week from Saturday. We come back on the 10th. It will be very nice to get away. I do have some Christmas shopping done so I won't have much left when we return.

Well gonna go. Need to get the house ready to decorate for Christmas since we start tomorrow night!

If I don't get back...... HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Eats lots!

See you soon!

TTFN

I am trying to figure out who Barb had. I think my mom is the only one that has received something so far so has anyone else received anything? If not, MOM open your package!!!

Ummm Heidi, you aren't suppose to be thinking these things through!! It's Secret Santa, remember?????

Julie: You have every right to be a proud mom!

Barb: Happy birthday 1 day early! :cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:

The snow is headed our way tomorrow. We are driving to Twinsburg in the morning and them to Parma in the afternoon and back home. Why does it always have to have yucky weather on a holiday?

The foot doctor called this morning. I do have a different infection in my toe, so it will be another 10 days of ATB. Jerry is picking it up on his way home. UGGHHH! I also have to change the way he told me to do the dreesing. Instead of saline it is 1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar. I still have to make up that solution.

My cherry pie is made and so is my brunch for tomorrow. I just need to heat that up at my mom's and put the rest of the stuff on top. It smeels really good! Kaleigh can't wait to try some.

I still have to put laundry away and give the munchkin a bath soshe will be sweet and clean for tomorrow.

I got my secret santa in the mail today, but I am guessing it isn't from Barb. I am still waiting for a shipment. I wish it would come already!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I just checked the order status and it is ready to be shipped. I hope I get it so I can send the stuff out before we leave on the 1st.

Wow, Julie, you certainly earn the braggy rights!! The story about Brooke is sooo cute. And then of course the brains of the family.....Makenzie!!! I guess you will be forever known for your turkey!! That's a good thing. You must be putting up the tree so you don't have to when you return. GOOD IDEA! I don't know when we will put up our decorations for Christmas. Like last year, I am having problems missing my mom. It must be a holiday thing for me. Ted of course is insistant that we put one up. He knows what Christmas means to me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARB!!

Denine, I am tired thinking about all that you are doing and need to do. Cherry pie sounds yummy. I am not making desserts. My SIL is. Thank goodness.

The long awaited (probably not) trip report part two:

We got off the ship on Saturday with no problems. We went straight to OKW and checked in. We were really hoping for a room since we were all so tired, but none was available yet. So, we went to Epcot to redeem our vouchers for our AP's. It was a very long line and it was drizzly. So, we walked around for a little while but with the F&W festival and it being Saturday, the crowds were awful! We decided to leave and go to Pizzeria Uno for lunch. We went grocery shopping after that and were finally able to check in to our room. We laid down for a while and then went for a walk around the resort.

Sunday we went to MGM so we could see Play House Disney before they got rid of Bear and Stanley. We stayed for a while and had lunch at Pizza Planet. Then we took a walk to the Boardwalk for a vanilla & chocolate pretzel now that they brought them back. We really missed them. Tonight was the MNNSHP. Unfortunately, it rained most of the evening. At least it stopped long enough for the parades and fireworks. MK was really decorated nicely for Fall.

Monday we went to Epcot. We didn't sample as much at the boothes since everything was so expensive. We shared what we tried. We ate lunch at the Rose & Crown. Yummy! We ate inside this time.

Tuesday we went to the MK. We ate lunch at Tony's Town Square for the first time. We liked it. We will go there again. We really like the Haunted Mansion changes. Kaleigh likes it better the old way, but then she is 5, what does she know?

Wednesday we went back to Epcot and went to Germany for lunch. Kaleigh enjoyed her bratwurst. Spaceship Earth was closed this trip. When it was time to leave for this trip, Kaleigh just cried her eyes out. There was no soothing her. The only thing that was going to make it better was not to leave. We kept telling her we would be back in December. She cried all the way from where the Christmas tree goes all the way to the parking lot. Once we got to the hotel that night she was looking forward to her bedroom and bed. She slept the whole 5 hours to the hotel.

Thursday we drove the rest of the way home, most of it in the pouring rain. We were exhausted! Then we had to work on Friday.

I pretty much have decided that you guys figured out the Barb had me so are you ready???? I got one of her quilts. It is Mickey themed. It is so cute and sparkly. I love it. I bet it takes her a very long time to complete thoses. I feel very lucky to have one. Thanks Barb!!

Well, Heidi and I survived Black Friday. Got a few things, nothing like in previous years. I did buy a DVD Disney Pictionary game for the house. Anyone ever played it before? Heidi found me a Jiminy ornament and bought it for me. Thanks Heidi!

Yesterday went over pretty good. My house is waaayyy too small now for all these big people. All the kids have grown and it really shrinks the rooms with big people. Joey was fun. She only wanted Grandma. I was busy in the kitchen cooking with Joey on my hip. I honestly loved it. Poor Tyler fell down our stairs. I felt so bad as I was the one on the stairs with him and couldn't grab him. He went so fast and I couldn't even attempt to touch him as he tumbled.

It is a cold and dreary day. Snow is to hit again this afternoon.

Denine, Ted and I shared when we went to the F&W festival, too. We found it expensive as well.

Sandy: I am JEALOUS! But, what a great gift from Barb. You are the lucky one. Where are you going to put it?

It sounds like Sandy had a nice Thanksgiving, I hope everyone else did too. We did and ate too much.

It was very cold and we had a light snow that only collected in a few places.

Well, Kaleigh is the proud owner of one of those outdoor playhouses. Our neightobrs that are moving back to Indiana put one out on the curb with a sign that said "free, please take", so we did. Rory and his son helped us carry it over. I thanked them profusely because Kaleigh really wanted one and even put it in her letter to Santa. She can't wait to play in it, but it was waaaay too cold. Ineed to keep everyone health for our trip in 8 days.

I did put up a few decorations today. I am not going overboard this year. But, I want everything up but the tree for when we get back. I can't do the tree or it will be destroyed by 2 little innocent kitties. My Christmas shopping is done, I finished Wednesday night.

I need to get started on packing and whatever other Christmas stuff I can get done.

We still have school too, everday except next Friday. We are having school this weekend too. I had not counted on missing a week for surgery.

Enjoy your weekend!

Wow Denine, what luck on the playhouse. I always wanted one for the girls but they are so expensive.

Ted got me a new tree yesterday. I am so excited.

By the way, I went back and read my last post. Sorry about the typos!!

Someone on the DIS just sent me an email wanting to know about our resort in Mexico. They are headed there in Feb.
