Felt like the everready bunny today. I just kept going & going & going.....

9:00 AM Union Meeting then went to work to pick up my BONUS$$$$$$$$$$ check $500.00 but $301.25 clear (not complaining) then shopping, shopping, shopping. I can ALMOST see a light at the end of the tunnel.

TED & SANDY: So sorry about your friend.

MACKENZIE: Congratulations big seller :cheer2:

JULIE: Soon you will be up dancing

DENINE: Love the colors.

Off to work tomorrow & Thursday. I hear :listen: it is busy again. Hope you all have a nice week. Did you see the snow in Philadelphia while you watched the EAGLES fiasco? Still cold :cold: today. Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE

Julie, looks like we cross posted. All I can say to your post is OUCH!! Your foot sounds horrible. Take good care of it and pixie dust that you can wear REAL shoes for the swearing in. If I were a rich man......I would fly out for it!!

Jeanne, the bonus was a nice one. Great for spending on the next cruisel. lol Sorry, didn't watch the game. Was too busy cleaning out Louises refrigerator. Why is it that her generation keeps outdated food?? Man, I tell you. I have tons of expired canned foods, vitamins etc that needs to be thrown out. Does anyone know if or where I could donate her unused inhalers? She has quite a supply and would hate to throw them out.

Barb and Sally, we are only going to get a dusting. I hear that you are still in for 4-6 inches. We have the cold, cold weather. Right now it is one degree with a wind chill of minus 15. It will dip into the negative over night with a high of 8. Yikes, that is cold!

Sandy, it is almost 5 am and it is -0, not snowing and doesn't look like we got much more. But I hear they got a lot out by the Air Force Academy.....
Looks like we are in for a lot of winter this year....guess we have had it too nice for the last few years. :cold:

I got the dress started and have to make piping now....I haven't sewn for quite awhile but it is kind of fun. Barb wants to come over and we will make a large stocking for Ethan with cute things on it sometime this week.

Still making cards....think I am going to have to give in and send some boughten ones...

Is everyone else having a cold spell.....my daughter in Texas said they were having an ice storm....

Very interesting......my car can read negative temperatures. Something I didn't want to find out, but found out anyway. Driving in to work this morning and it was -4. That is way past darn cold. It is supose to hit 9 degrees today, yay!!!!

I just found out about 30 minutes ago that I have to go offsite and attend an all day meeting at the Sheraton Hotel....like I don't have anything else to do!!!

Good Morning!

Burrrrrrr it is really cold here :cold: Not much snow. I traded cars with Bob. When the roads are bad I take the van and he drives my Mustang. He does not have far to drive and I have about 25 miles. All the schools are closed because of the bitter cold.

Julie how is the foot doing? I hope you are recovering quickly!

Denine thanks for the potty training tips. I know I will be looking to you soon. It has been a long time since I have had to potty train a baby!

Julie: Glad to hear your foot is healing OK, sorry to hear it hurts so much. So, a New Years Blizzard it is.

Sandy: Call your local pharmacy. Some places do have donation programs, but it is usually from a hospital or nursing home. It doesn't hurt to call.

Heidi: How fun, an all day seminar.

Jeanne: Congrats on your bonus! I will probably get another $10 Giant Eagle gift card and we usually get $5-10 from the residents families in cash. Jerry has never gotten a Christmas bonus. They do give out incentive bonuses though, but not until spring.

I work the next 2 mornings and then Sunday morning too. We will probably cut out and decorate cookies this weekend. I am making my last batch of dough tonight.

I lost 1/2 pound this week. This is the closest I have been to pre-cruise weight. !/2 pound to go.

It is cold here, but not as cold as you CO people are having it. And yes, I knew the car thermometer could read negative temps. Supposed to have snow showers today, but it is sunny here. Jerry said it was snowing Downtown. Better there than here!

Sally: I could never sew anything. You should have seen my projects in home-ec :rotfl2: That is why I do counted cross stitch.

So, Julie, when are we going to get together? Weekends are out, so are Thursdays. What is good for you?

Until whenever...

Checking in with frost bitten fingers. If I make any typos it is because my fingers aren't working right.

Sally, I have sewn before but never did piping. Sounds too far out of my league that is for sure. I think you and Barb could have a good time making a stocking for Ethan.

Ted and I have never gotten a bonus. Govt employees are never appreciated by their superiors or by the tax payers. It is funny that the private sector gets bonuses but if govt should offer one the tax payers would have a hissy fit. Same way with a Christmas party.

Time to cook. Haven't done that for awhile. Maybe I can lose some weight now.

Good morning everyone.

Today is Graci's program at school. Her teacher told her mom that these kids just aren't singers. She asked that the parents learn the songs to sing along. Could be a very cute program.

Heidi, how are those pipes?

Still frozen. Chris figured out where to turn the water off, so it will be off all day. Hopefully it will thaw out today, if not we may be watching Survivor over here so dad can see what he can do for me!!!!! I still want you to come over though so that you can see my tree and my banister.

We put the ornaments on the tree last night, ya I don't have very many ornaments. My tree consists of bulbs and winnie the pooh ornnaments. I have 1 scooby doo, and Chris has a Harley Davidson ornament...but thats about it. (Oh ya I have a tinkerbell from a DISer, and a goofy and donald one that my mom so nicely gave up for me to have) Hopefully after Christmas I can get more on sale!!!!

Good Morning!

Another cold one but it is suppose to WARM up to about 30.

Sandy- Graci's program sound really cute. Can't wait until I am going to Ethan's programs. Guess we will work on talking first then move on to singing.

:rotfl2: Remember take baby steps!!! :rotfl: You are too funny.

Barb, you are too funny! Yep, it takes Ethan to talk first before he can sing.

Heidi, I can't wait for tonight when you give dad everything. I am so excited for him. It has been so hard to keep to myself. Do you realize how much he has needed this? What a love you are!

Don't forget about your relaxing treat tomorrow too. I just know we all needed something to help us relax and get through everything.

I guess Heidi will let me spill the beans now. Our wonderful, darling, loving, did I say wonderful? daughter is treating her and I to a manicure and pedicure tomorrow. On Saturday she is treating Ted to a massage. The best part of it is....he doesn't even know it yet. LYMI!!

Sure miss Susan. Do you think she will pop in over the holidays??

I guess the baby steps should consist of keeping baby food in his mouth then crawling, walking, talking blah blah blah... a very long way away from me sitting in the school gym with tears in my eyes because I know that the cutest and most talented kid in the program is my grandson! To bad for the other parents and grandparents. :teeth: heehee

Well tonight is a card making class at my Mom's. I am sticking by my guns though. I am not making Christmas cards! I will make birthday cards get well etc....
Speaking of which Heidi will you email me your address so I can sell it on the internet... :teeth: I need it for your Christmas card. Not homemade just store bought!

Have a good time tomorrow Sandy what a super fun treat! Sounds like you could really use it with everything you have been through this year.

Barb- well it is a good thing that Ethan and the twins won't be in the same class together. I would hate to see 3 talented kids show up the rest of the class!!!! I pmed you my address, but I only want a card if it is homemade ;)

Wish me luck, I am about to go home and see what kind of leaks we have with the water. I know chris just made it home, so maybe he can find the bad news first to soften it for me!!!!!

Its' me!

Heidi: Sorry about the pipes.

Sandy: What a special daughter you have treating her parents to something so relaxing.

I had 2 busy days at work. I barely got to sit in my 4 hours. It was -1 on the way to work yesterday. We were supposed to get 4-8" of snow last night, but we lucked out with only about 2, but it was blowing.

Jerry and I are having a wine and cheese party for 2 tonight. We went to Trader Joe's last night and stocked up on wine and some cheese and a loaf of cheese bread. They were even having a little wine tasting. This is a night to not worry about points. Just to relax and enjoy some rare time together.

My Christmas Mickey wind sock blew away during the night. Jerry tried to find it, but if is somewhere, it is buried in snow. I hope we find it, but I am not holding my breath.

Nothing else going on here.

Denine, sorry about your Mickey wind sock. When I lost my Capt Mickey I was sure upset! I think you are so right on the money. Don't worry about points tonight and let it be all about the two of you!!!

Today turned out sooooo special. Not only did Heidi treat me to the manicure and pedicure but also a massage, facial and lunch. Stacey was there too getting the works. After the last 6 months it was nice to relax and make fun new memories. Thanks Heidi!!

Tomorrow we all are going to Stacey and Heidi's "adopted" grandparents for dinner. Talk about a cook!!! Can't wait.
