I can't wait to see what you get with your Cat 12 GTY, Laura! We booked 2 for our February Wonder cruise... I thought the savings ($400!) was worth taking a gamble!

Angie - I know it is a gamble, but really just thought it was worth it. For the May cruise we had a CAT 12 and were assigned 6045 (Cat 11). We never did get to experience that room. But that cruise seemed more full at this period of time than this cruise. I can only hope, but have already decided I would be happy no matter were we are located. DH has it in his mind if he needs to pay at the port for an upgrade how much he is willing to go for an extra bathroom, a porthole or a verandah.

Since you have kids... How is the upper bunk.. Is it easy to get up and down from for a 7 year old. DD would think it would be so cool to sleep there. Not even sure if they would assign us a room with a bunk.

You all on the boards will be the 3rd to know once we get our room assignment. (TA, DH and then you all).

Laura

AS a A-lister, if your husband has his Rapid Rewards number in his reservation 36 hours before departure then he is automaticly checked in for his flight for free. The 10 bucks will check you in, but you will be behind all the Business Select and A-Listers. I will be happy to answer any questions that I can for all you guys regarding this or any other aspect of SWA travel.

All of our reservations were booked through his Rapid Rewards account (we used RR Vouchers...). It will be interesting to see if we get an A card (I think not), if we don't he can board first then I'll board with the family boarding (my DS is 3). We'll see how it goes this trip. Once he's 4 we'll be impacted more and might need to pay the charge, but I won't worry until we get there as this policy could change... I love SWA, but am sad my companion pass has now expired. :sad1: The year flew by and only got to use it twice...

The A-list status only applys to him. He will be the only one checked in automaticly. So sorry about your companion pass. He may earn another. Keep hope alive on that.

I obviously know these are all corporate decisions, so I'm not holding this against anyone but the corporate decision maker who decided it would be any easy way for the airline to make some extra $$. We've absolutely loved all the crew members we've encountered through the years. We love the nonstop flights. There was actually a time when I felt SWA did EVERYTHING right though. It's sad to see times are changing!

Angie. I encouge you to send this comment in to our HQ. I have been with SWA ten years this month. The biggest change I have seen is that when I started I was treated like a person. Now I am treated like a number.

Congrats AnkaG on your wedding:banana: Now it's time for the fun & relaxation after everything!!

Wow - hadn't heard about Southwest. I'm gonna have to go look into that one. Not sure what I'll do there. As long as there's 2 seats together, we'll be good & divide into two groups. Kinda leaves a sour taste though that they can brag about no checked bag fees but still do this. Guess I shouldn't be too surprised by them having to do something though.

Steve - luggage tags already:thumbsup2 I'll be watching the mail like crazy now!!

STILL have to book the car service, both in FL & here in PA. I'm off from work next week while the kids are starting back to school ("baby" off to Kindergarten:eek:) so I'll be home more to get organized & get things done. Looking forward to the break!

No luggage tags here yet. Honestly, I don't care. We never seem to be at the head of the pack for receiving tags or any kind of correspondence from DCL. What I really want to see in the mail, ASAP, is the darn SIM card that Tracfone keeps promising to send me so I can transfer my phone number from my old Tracfone to my new one. It's been three weeks of calls from me and apologies and promises from Tracfone. Yesterday, I was on hold for 26 minutes but hung up. Today, I couldn't get through at all. I just got a recording to call back later. So annoying! It could be worse. It's a just a cheap phone. This kind of treatment from bank holding all my money would be something to get really upset about. LOL.

At 4am this morning, our family reached the 6 weeks to go mark. Needless to say, we were not awake to celebrate this milestone.

Us too! :cool1: We'll be leaving at 4am to catch a 6am flight! I'm already tired just thinking about it. Hopefully the kids will sleep on one of our legs, I know my husband will :thumbsup2

So, 6 weeks from now we'll be just checking into our MCO hotel...

Wow, 6 weeks seems so close now!:scared1:

We have alrady booked for the Oct 23, 2010 eastern hope to see everyone ther next year also-- we booked with our incentive when we added extra points in the spring from DVC.
We haven't gotten any luggage tags yet hopefully soon.

We are leaving at 4am too to drive to Port Canaveral on 10/16. We are also thinking of booking the October 23, 2010 Eastern while on board. 6 more weeks and counting! I found a great station on my Sirius radio in the car, Margaritaville channel 55...

So I guess no one has received an upgrade?

I have been listening to Radio Margaritaville for years on the internet on the Margaritaville website until I got this latest auto which came equipped with XM. I know that this weekend is playing pasts Labor Day concerts from Jimmy, including whatever concerts he is playing over this holiday weekend. I just don't care for Feats at Five... I'm happiest when they stick to Jimmy.

Do you know how much the OBC is? I know we paid the surcharge so I would love a credit!

From my travel agent:

<< The amount of the shipboard credit will be equal to the fuel surcharge applied which was $8 per person per day for the 1st and 2nd passenger in a stateroom (with a maximum of $112.00 per person) and $3 per person per day for all others in the stateroom (with a maximum of $42.00 per person). >>

Make that 3 people... We have our ME tags for our WDW days before the cruise, they arrived too. Woohoo! :dance3:

Now just waiting to see what Stateroom we get.

Maybe I can help - the bunk should be quite easy for a 7 year old. The last time we cruised, our then 6 year old slept there and had no problem. The ladder makes it quite easy to get up and down. Hope that helps!
