I wish they would let me go. I am only 63 inches. What if I get lots of botox before the cruise? :lmao:

You and me both. I'm 61". Botox, chest binding, pigtails, lipo on my thighs, lasers to my varicose veins...it might work.

I'm so sorry, Kim, but I no longer have the original graphic (without the text) saved. :(

Kim - I think Pete (theDawnpatrol) had the orginal graphic. I also wanted to check if he had the full picture verison to see if I can print it for a magnet.

You did give me an idea for labeling our FE gift for kids, but I am not worried about the name Disney Magic on it, since it labels the cruise we are on.

Happy Sunday y'all!!

Big week for us in our house -- DD turns 5 years old and then starts her first year at 'real school' on Thursday!!! :).

And, of course, on Monday - it will be 2 months till we see each other!!!

Sue - Wish your little one a happy birthday from the DIS cruise mates. Is she entering Kindergarten? Not sure what they have in Scotland.

I have big news. I am almost finished with our Fish Extender. I just need to do the font on the front with a graphic that represents our family and then put in the hem for the dowel rod. I will post a picture when I am completely done. I followed the no sew directions and everything went well, except I got hung up in getting Pleats in my pockets. But finally figured it out.

It is kind of cute, but I did "steal" the idea from another DISer on the main boards.

Now I probably could have done it for Cheaper if I would have ordered a $30 one from ebay, but when I started I thought it would be cheaper. Problem is I am not a frequent crafter so I had nothing around the house.

BTW... are FE used on other cruise lines?

Ahhh. That's a milestone..first day of real school. :teacher: Is kindergarten an all day class where you live?

We love the first day of real school in our house, .but the novelty wears off by the first Friday..at least it does for me as the kids' teacher, task master and slave driver. Just kidding.

You must have followed the same directions as I did because I had a bit of trouble with the pleats on the first try, too.

I came to that conclusion, too. I stayed under $30.00 (barely) but the trade off was that I wasn't able to decorate my FE as well as I would have liked. If I had it to do over again, I would still do it myself just because I like to learn new things and be challenged.

Monica, I agree with you I had a good time making it and really it only took a little over an hour and kept me off Facebook and gave Angie a chance to kick my behind in the facebook games. Now I am going to put together some FE gift ideas.

Hopefully no one is discouraged from the directions on making a Fish Extender. You all probably have a lot more talent than I do in that area.

Thought I would mention, when we were in Target yesterday in the Girl's clothing they had their halloween shirts out. They had a pink short sleeve T-Shirt, with a scull & crossbones with a bow on it. It was under $5. Sizes were xs - xl (sizes 4 and Up).

Might be a good option for Pirate night. I did not check adult clothes to see what they have.

I am still trying to get the Hyatt on Hotwire for Wednesday October 14th! We land about 10:30 that night so I am hoping to stay there then take ME to AKV the next morning. I hate to pay $200 for the room!

Less than two months now!! I'm starting to get nervous. We booked a year and a half ago, can't believe we are getting so close. Need to book my transfer, need to make a shopping list, lose 5 lbs, figure out what to wear on pirate night... pirate:

I had been watching for the Hyatt for Fri night, 10/16, but literally just gave up about a half hour ago & booked the Sheraton Suites. I still did it on Hotwire - it was 3 1/2 stars, got it for $59 + tax - wasn't sure what I'd get, but figured it couldn't be that terrible if it's 3 1/2 stars! I feel better just having it done - now I can book a car service. Is anyone else staying here the night before?

Let me know how you are doing on the 5lbs. I want to do something too, but with Work being stressful and now are full schedule for our DD, I am really going to have to watch myself on what I eat.

We arrive in the evening of 10/14. but we get in around 8pm, so we will take ME that even to WDW.

We are going to be staying at POFQ (arriving on Wednesday) and we have booked Florida Tours as our car service to get us to the port. Getting a bit worried about that car serivce choice as reading cruise critic boards and they do not recommend them, while the DIS does and that is probably because they are a sponser.

Laura,

Before Magical Express, we always used Florida Tours and they were great. They were always on time and very cordial. We never had any problems with them. Of course, that was about 3 or more years ago so things may have changed.

Just want everyone to know, In case they missed it... there is a thread that says Brent has left the Magic. They are trying to confirmation from CM's they know aboard currently. Let's hope it is not true!!

We are staying at the Sheraton Suites near MCO the night before. We are using points, I'm sure it will be fine. We get in around 5pm after flying all day, so a quick dip in the pool, some dinner, then early bedtime so we can get up bright and early and head to the port - will be very bright and early for us as we'll be on West Coast time

We booked Florida Tours as well - I checked the BBB and they were fine so hopefully no problems. What is the complaint on the cruise critic boards?
