Yes, you are not seeing things....that is SNOW! Its -2 degress celecius here too!
Gosh, sure cant wait for that cruise, as it looks like summer decided not to come this year!:rotfl::rotfl:

I am on facebook as well and will put my information in the yahoogroup.

I think it's a super idea to add the info onto the spreadsheet! I will send all of my updates to the yahoogroup in a bit... I need to hop off here for a bit since I'm supposed to be cleaning my bedroom and doing laundry right now! :laundy:

I joined the adult group, but I do not have excel. I would like to see the spreadsheet or at least input. Can someone help me out? :flower3:

You can also download a free product from Sun Microsystems called Open Office. This allows you to view/update any MS Word, Excel, Power Point file.

http://www.openoffice.org/

Be careful about downloading it if you do have Microsoft Office installed though, because it might overwrite your settings to open those file with Open Office rather than defaulting to Microsoft. But it's a great option if you don't have MS Office...

Oh, my gosh, Kim. Snow in June? I guess I won't complain about it being just a shade to chilly to go swimming.

We're going away until Friday, and I don't know if we'll have internet access. "See" you all when I get back.

Snow in June!!! Wow. Is it still cold there? If you are 2c degrees then we are almost 35c degree warmer than there. YIKES. It is close to 100F here every day. I am ready for summer to end.

Thanks for posting the freeware to view the spreadsheet. I have having a hard time finding something to covert the Excel over. I will still try to do it.

Also.. Haven't got my DD interested this weekend to get on the computer to communicate with the Kids group yet. This has been a busy weekend, but I am sure I can get her on it shortly as Today she said it ws going to be a fun October.

Anyone else with Younger kids considering the late dining given the new eat and Play that they are doing on the Magic now? Kids get their meals quickly and then CM come to pick them up from the dining from for their respective clubs. Wonder if this works if DD orders from the adults menues?

We are wait listed for early seating, but ..

With the talk on the main board of the wine, Beer and Martini tasting, is there anyone thinking of doing these?

Not sure I can do all, because I know I will not be functional after one tasting of anything. :scared1: and I did want to try the drink of the day.

I am definately interested in Wine and possibly Martini.

I assume these are only on Sea days, but not sure.

We're also wait-listed for the early seating...I think the Dine & Play sounds like it will definitly be worth trying for us. But I also think that we'll have a few nights of eating earlier (and more casual) at the buffet. Knowing my hubby and kids we won't be in the "nice" restaurants EVERY night. But when we are it sounds like a good option.

wow Kimberlee...snow in June!!! Here in North Carolina it is in the 80's and 90's most days and VERY humid. Hate the humidity!!

Yes, they are usually only on sea days. I've done wine, martini & tequila in the past. I've skipped the wine since the first time I did it - it's not bad or anything, but I am slightly too wine-picky for it to be that enjoyable for me. Plus I go to this huge annual winefest near me each year, and after the 1000 or so varieties available to taste there, five or six wines just doesn't do it for me. ;) Martini & tequila I've done several times, and will be doing them again this sailing. I've also heard there is a cognac tasting, which I may try out. I love liquor tastings - I just find them fascinating (liquor is a bit of a hobby of mine). My suggestion is that you go to guest services on the first day onboard and get tickets for any tastings that you want to do. They fill up very quickly!

I am not that schooled or have a fine enough skills to determine what is good with Wine, I do know what I like and don't like. Last night ordered a Sryah Rose and had to send it back, It was just not bold enough and had an after taste. I like Wine tasting because they I can find a new one that I might not try otherwise. I typically skip all whites and drink Reds.

For the Tequila tasting, so they do it straight or mixed?

I would have to say I have never had a Martini (gin or vodka) at least that I can remember, so I am interested in trying.

My MIL sayes my eyes smile when I drink. so my eyes might be grinning after a few of the tasting, because with only 2 Sea days on the western, they might have to stack the tastings on the same day.

We haven't done any of the tastings, although we are BIG fans of the Drink of the Day! Haven't tasted a bad one yet... and they are priced very reasonably! :thumbsup2 I could do without the Konk Cooler at Castaway Cay... IMO, it doesn't live up to it's hype.

I'm really anxious to update my signature to include this cruise... I hope I'm not stepping on any toes! ;)

I made this graphic:

I thought the border added a little something and made it look like a vintage photo/postcard. What do guys think???

The same graphic - just a bit smaller:

My skills aren't that fine. I mean, I won't be able to tell you things like "it has a caramel bouquet" or "peppery on the finish". :rotfl: What I can say is that I like reislings, but think they taste better when they come from Germany. I'm generally not a fan of anything from California or South Africa, but Australian wines seem to do well for me. I'm that kind of picky. :lmao:

They do both. If I remember correctly, they gave a sample of house tequila, a sample of premium tequila, the Patron XO Cafe (which totally rocked my world!), a strawberry and a regular margarita. I'm going back a couple of years, though, since the last time I sailed it was booked up.

I would have to say I have never had a Martini (gin or vodka) at least that I can remember, so I am interested in trying.
That was how I ended up taking the martini tasting the first time. My dad was always a martini drinker (vodka, not gin) and he was sailing with me and took the tasting too. I tend to agree with him - vodka martini good, gin not so much. :)

Welcome, I am sure this DIS group will continue to grow as we get closer to the cruise. April has set up a yahoo group to do some chatting and sharing some things at are not a public forum and Kimberlee has also set up on for the Kids on the cruise to have "penpals" with before the cruise. How old is your DS?

O, dear, my DS is 28 years old. Is he too old for the penpals? LOL Seriously, he is darling son though. He and I did the Wonder cruise last year, but first cruise for my DH and Dparents (DP). I love the sight seeing, shopping, relaxing part of the cruise. I hear the key lime pie is yummy in Key West, so I may need to hunt for a piece. Our DS does all the planning and we just pay. HA!

Hi again everyone! I just need to inquire about something. My sister-in-law and family might be joining me on this cruise. She has a 4yr old DS. He's not big into computers for kids chat, but does anyone have anysuggestions for smaller ones to get involved, or should we try to web cam him with other kids? It would be nice if he had some idea of who would be going so he could know someone there. I'm figuring that they will stay at the Residence Inn with us the night before. I will know a bit later today if they are going to squeeze it in this year. They weren't planning on trying to go until next year. I'm tickled and hope they go!:cheer2:

Oh I hope they decide to go with you...fun! We have some friends looking into going with us as well.

I have a 5 yr old DS who, with my help, will be participating in the kids email/yahoo group. I'll help him type an introduction email. Mostly it will be my 8 year old DD who will be doing the kids group email. But I figure my DS will like to see everyone's picture so he feels liek he's seen them before when we get on the ship. And he'll post his picture too....

We're going to post in the next couple of days. Today is the last day of school for us here so then we'll have LOTS of free time to do it!
