I'm trying to buy a 2-day ticket for 3 people. The plan is to go to DCA Monday then DL Tuesday. Non-Park Hopper tickets to save money. However Oct 16th I cannot select DCA when buying online at DISNEY.CA . Anyone know why, also what is my work-around for this without spending more for a HOPPER.

I'm guessing that the Mondays are high-demand days for a DCA start for holders of one park per day tickets because the park closes early for Oogie Boogie on Sundays and Tuesdays. October 2 and October 9 also do not have availability for one park per day tickets. So for now at least, Disney has looked at their metrics and decided they don't want any more of that type of ticket holder in DCA for the day. Your choices are to wait and hope something opens up and run the risk of one park per day tickets also running out for Disneyland for that day and therefore being forced to either change your dates or buy hopper tickets or changing your dates now or buying hopper tickets now.

Mondays are always amazingly busy. Just keep checking, availability should pop up but you need to keep checking.

October 16 is the 100th birthday of Disney animation. They haven't announced if anything is happening, but I think people are anticipating that there will be something special.

If I decide to play the waiting game, what negatives can happen, are they going to sell out both gates and it’ll be a waste of my trip?

Is there a reason for you to be there on Monday if not just swap for Tuesday.? I'd say roll the dice, or buy a hopper if you want to be in DCA on Monday.

While the OP hasn't said his reasons, my assumption is that people with one-park only tickets aren't real enthused about a 6 PM closing time. DCA closes at 6 PM on Sundays and Tuesdays (and Thursdays) in October for Oogie Boogie nights.

Yea, that makes a lot of sense... Funny i have a trip planned next month, but have hoppers so it didn't even cross my mind.
