Thanks for the info on the cruise! I'm so looking forward to this.

Bert, welcome to you and your family.

My tickers says only 2 months and 30 days till my Disney trip!:banana::banana: Can't wait. I would love to go on a cruise too. I saw CruiseOutlet having a big sale. But not sure we can do Disney and a cruise and do my family reunion in August. That's lots of trips. And they sure add up.

Hi all we are the Stevenson family and this will be our third Disney cruise. Our first was on the Wonder jan 09 and we were on the Magic for the eastbound transatlantic in april this year, both cruises were amazing for different reasons. There will be me Bert 39 time of travel, dw Lisa 35, dd Charlene 17 and dd Murren 14. 5 other family members will be travelling with us on this cruise so should be even better.

Hi and welcome :cheer2:
Would also love to add a cruise to our vacation this Oct but its a defo NO but I am looking forward to the planning for the cruises next year after our vacation in Oct. :yay:

Hello how's everyones planning coming on? Just started reading up on excursions trying to decide what to do. :confused3 has anyone else decided what excursions they are doing? :cheer2:

Hey there. We haven't done any planning and I just found out that my DS's school schedule has changed for the fall, so we are moving our cruise to a week earlier and getting on the Eastern itinerary instead. Have a great time on this cruise!

So let's get this group going again! My daughter and I are transferring to this cruise so it'll be a "girl's" trip (don't ask where dad and son are going for their "boy's" trip! :lmao:) for us. DD is 10 now, so firefighter_chris, you and I will both have 10 YO daughters on the boat!

This is a pretty quiet thread so far, hopefully we can get some traffic on here! It'll be our 5th DCL cruise, the 4th on the Magic, I just love this ship! Has anyone thought about doing a fish-exchange or setting up a DIS meet? 7 Months and counting down!

ETA: By the way, I'm Jennifer, and my daughter is Jillian!

Me and my fiancee just booked this cruise. I'm Alexandria (24 by cruise date) and his name is Ran (26). We are first-time cruisers!!! :cool1:

Hello? Is this thing on? <knock><knock>

This thread had been slow but hopefully it will pick up the closer it gets to the cruise.
I'm not sure if we are going to take part in a FE in this cruise because we are also sailing on the 8th and have signed up on the FE on that cruise and we have watch our luggage weight. It will be a last minute decision if the group stays small.

I'm trying to decide on which excursions to do. At the minute it's a beach day at Grand Caymen and the catamaran sail snorkel & beach party at Cozumel.
Has anyone done any of these?
I'm not sure about key west yet think we will just get off the boat and have a wonder.

We loved doing the FE on our Med cruise, but there were only 15 rooms, so it wasn't too bad to carry the stuff around.

Jillian and I are going to take a scuba dive in Key West (not through Disney) and probably do stingray city in Grand Cayman, we're planning on taking an extra day on the boat in Cozumel, Dad's a little paranoid about Mexico and the ladies being alone :)

So Jennifer I notice this is your 4 th time on the magic have you any tips on some of the excursions what to miss or what you thought was great? Our girls would like to swim with the dolphins again but not sure if we should go back to DC or try a cruise excursion. :confused3

Honestly, we've never done a Disney excursion on the Western. We did several in the Med, but have always just book our own stuff when we were doing the Western Caribbean. We've done glass bottom boats in Key West, and also just did the butterfly museum and the southern most point (walked down and caught a pedi-cab back, super easy). We did the dolphin swim in Cozumel on our first cruise, and it was OK, but we're going to DC just before this cruise and I would be that it's a better experience. Even with the cruise excursions, you're still dealing with local vendors, so they're either in Cozumel or in Grand Caymen, we did Chakunab in Cozumel on our own and I know they have an excursion there too, it just wasn't all that much, and they were running about 1 1/2 hours late for everyone because they're on Cozumel time if you know what I mean!

We've done Stingray City on our own too, and had some friends who just grabbed a cab to the turtle farm and Hell and said that was great too, so I guess I took all of this text to say I don't have very good advice about the Caribbean excursions because we've never done one. I had thought that they had a scuba excursion on CC, but didn't see it when I went looking on the DCL site, so that'll be our "beach day" for the cruise. ;)

Isn't that what the Caribbean is all about? :lmao:

So you guys are coming all the way over from Scotland? How long are you going to be in the States for? Are you doing WDW in addition?

Ok - so My husband and I just booked this cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary. We did the Wonder in '08 and loved it.

Today - it's raining and now snowing in Ohio - I need this to look forward to! LOL

Welcome to everyone cruising with us - can't wait to meet some of you!!:cool1::banana::woohoo:

Can anyone tell me how to get the ticker to appear? I'm not sure which format to use, etc.

Thanks!

Welcome Aboard!!!!! You're going to love the Magic, having the longer cruise just gives you such a great sense of family :woohoo:

To update your ticker, put in the link that the ticker generator site gives you in the following format: [ url=http://your path here]http://your image path here...

But without the space after the first square bracket ([) and without the space before the last square bracket. You should put your URL in the field rather than the ticker path for mine, otherwise, you'll get my ticker about a mother daughter cruise! Which you might not care about, but your husband would probably not appreciate it!:lmao: If you just go to the ticker site, it should allow you to generate a path for the Disboards, but if not, that's the syntax.

We will be over for 3 weeks from Scotland can't wait. We are giving WDW a miss this year :sad2:but will pop over to DTD & Universal then we are on the magic on the 8th B2B.
