TA called this morning right after I went home from work sick
(Now I know why I couldn't sleep last night!). This too shall pass!!
No upgrade to the Roy or Walt suite, but I'm just glad to finally have those docs!

Michelle....geeeez, I'm glad I read this thread again. High Tea at 3:00 (not 4:00) on Thursday.

Also, we are having dinner at Palo on Thursday at 7:30 so it looks like we'll be missing most of you.

No brunch reservations yet. Have to wait to get on the ship before I can snag a ressie.

If I book a 4 day on the Wonder for next year I will try it then.

You should have one - it's white with pale red boxes that you have to cram your personal information into. Don't sweat not finding that one - DCL will have extras at the cruise terminal and you can fill one out there when you register.

The Bahamas form was separate, just folded up next to the ticket booklet. If it's not there it really doesn't take much time to fill out...a couple of seconds!!

Sam: Yes my Sax boy is very cool.. ..at 12 he cracks me up, he just got through marching in a parade...his first....but he had to wear some cool sunglasses, (maybe 2 others wore sunglasses out of the whole band!!) It's funny because I was a percussionist and I thought that he would follow his Mom and choose that.....no he wanted the Sax and he really enjoys and is pretty good!! I also noticed that you have a 9yr old boy, so do I, Aussie (Austin), he loves Soccer, Swimming, video games, very easy going kid!!!

Michelle: I just did a search on the disboards for a car rental place in st. Maarten and your name came up on a post, did you rent from the jeep car rental place?? I think we are going to do that too. No problems renting from them????

I'm starting to pack!!!! yikes....I think my husband is in shock....normally I pack the night before!!

I talked to Best Deal car rental and they were very nice and helpful. I have still not reserved yet cause you have to put 20% down and I was a bit worried about weather... If things still look pretty good then I may go on line or call them and reserve a Jeep for the day. I would rather have something reserved and know what I am getting than just take my chances.
On the Cruise-critic boards I have read nothing but good things about BestDeal car rental. I just think it would be a fun way to see the Island.


They drive on our side of the road too! Thank goodness...

I will let you know if I book one!

Jason, in case you haven't figured it out yet Paul and I have something of a baseball rivalry going on (what is it... nine world series rings to two?). He's a pretty funny guy...keeps all of us on our toes... it might be safer for you to join ranks with Kevin cheering on the Diamondbacks, although by cruise time there will only be two teams playing in the National League (and I'm pretty sure one of them is in St. Louis).

If it gets too bad feel free to scream something like this as you run from our presence:

Brenda... I have to hand it to you, the Cards have won the last 2 NL Central Divisions.... Us Cubs fans are finding out just why Dusty Baker was let go from San Fran.... almost everyone outmanages him... one more year (if he makes it) and maybe the Cubs can get Lou Pinella in the dugout.... nothing like a Pinella/LaRussa battle...

I have started pre-packing.... have a pile of stuff that is going to go into suitcases.... Used the cruise as an excuse for sandals to have to go away starting 10/1... "Gotta pack them so you can wear them on the cruise".

Wasn't Dusty coaching the Cubs a couple years back when they made it to the playoffs? Cardinal Nation was convinced that Armageddon was upon us if the Cubbies made it to the World Series.

It's gotta be frustrating because they are actually a pretty darn good team, but it seems like something is "off." Personally, I don't like the attitude the team has - kind of "in your face" with nothing to back it up. The Yankees are the only team that really can pull that off these days...and I hate the Yankees.

Anyhoo...looking forward to meeting you in person...maybe we can all catch a few innings together at Diversions. I, too, have started packing...and did have all my tag-bags finished (until today - thanks alot Jason... ). See everyone in two weeks - have a great weekend!

TWO WEEKS TWO WEEKS TWO WEEKS Can you tell I'm getting just a little bit excited. I'm going to go check out that sting ray info in a minute...Nothing productive has been done today!!! Well nothing productive on the homefront anyways....doing lots of cruise productivity. I just got done with the Yahoo site....and Finally signed up for the tag game. At least I think I signed up correctly. If someone doesn't mind checking it out and letting me know if I got on the right list I'd appreciate it. I went to the October 15th cruise database and filled in all our info with room #, dinner seating and yes to tag. Was that the right place. Hope so, since today is the deadline.

Sorry for the late reply.

I spoke with AA and they changed the FLT # to #1484 and we leave at 9:00 a.m. Our seat assignment is 13AB and 14AB. On the connection Flt#1202 we are assigned 16A,B,C, D. The other members from Denver will be taking UAL later that day and other group members will be flying from PA, CA and one family will be driving from Ohio. Are you leaving your car in one of the parking lots- We are thinking of using USA parking this time. I haven't started packing but started thinking about some of the formal/semi formal wear my daughter and I will wear. Have a great day-- it's hot... Evelyn
