Good Morning All,

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe Memorial Day week-end. If anyone is planning a road trip PLEASE be careful. We are staying home and enjoying a nice quiet week-end. Probably do some more shopping!!! I was born to shop!!!! NOT!!!! Need those dress up shoes. DW says the smelly ol' tennis shoes just won't do. But they;re comforable I says. If I even try to put them in the suitcase when we start packing she will literally throw me out of the house. (You know I think she would just do it too!!!)

I hope all enjoy a long weekend - and have some great plans. We are staying close to home and plan to take advantage of some great sales - still need a few more things for our trip.

Am hoping we can see Pirates 3 tomorrow...any one see it yet? I am so hoping the ghost ship is still at castaway cay when we stop...I can't wait to see it up close (or...as close as they let you.

Took family to see Pirates today, and everyone loved it! Was a bit different in parts, will let you see for yourself.

Paid off cruise last month!

Kids getting ready to start summer vacation.....and were all anxiously awaiting OCTOBER!

Jenmack posted a fun website for the kids while traveling. I just learned about momsminivan.com. You can print out car bingo cards, song lyrics, tic tac toe sheets, etc. We while be flying in October but in Augsut we will drive from Baltimore to Destin, Florida. (Has anyone ever been to Destin?) I will definately be visiting these websites.

Next on the list, trip insurance. I'm regreting that I did not buy this when I booked the cruise. Anyone have any tips for trip insurance?

We did and my hubby and I were trying to decide on excursions, I have read some trip reports so a few I am familiar with but thought I would ask all of you which ones have you done and do you know which ones you will be doing this cruise?

I didn't receive any brown envelopes ~ I wonder if they send it to people who paid off their balance?? We haven't yet.

Anyone else not do their passports yet?! I don't know why I can't get on the ball. DH has one. Mine expired last month and I still need to get DS one. Will go to the post office today to make an appointment.

But if we don't get them in time, it's not like we can't cruise, right?? It's only if we need to fly back to the States when we're in St. Thomas, etc...??

Jenmack, it comes in a beige manilla envelope with disney cruise line logo in corner, inside it says "my cruise travel kit" it contains info on shore excursions,quick tips, gifts,setting sail, vacation protection plans and formal wear. I do not have my cruise paid for yet but we did use dreams unlimited as our travel agent. Also contains a letter letting us know our final payment is due by July 30

We arent' getting passports so I can't help you out there, I know a friend of mine has been waiting close to 16 weeks and still has not received hers so I don't know even if you applied now that you would receive them in time, though you may as we still have what 20 weeks or so till we cruise?

Welcome aboard Tiger Lily. We here are kind of a nutty bunch. (Well I am anyways. I think it is due to all of the southern sun I've been exposed to!! ) DW says she thinks my brain has been cooked!! But DW & I love down here in sunny Florida.

We paid off our cruise back in March and we haven't received any brown envelope with cruise info. Hope we all get one soon. I'm beginning to feel left out.

Get to go see my ol' friend,(or should I say fiend), the dentist for my root canal next Monday. He laughs and laughs the whole time he's in there working on my teeth. Guess he's got to pay for that new Jaguar somehow!!! He at least could offer to take me for a ride in the stupid thing. After all I've paid for half that car!!!!

We have no brown envelope. We have not paid off the balance yet.

Good luck on the Passport thing. We are hearing around here that it is taking minimum 12 weeks to get them now. Glad we've got ours.

Ow about the root canal. I hope at least the "evil" dentist offers pain free treatment.

Add us to the list traveling with out passports. We are planning a trip to Europe in 2011 or 2013....and know we will need them then. if we were for sure going in 2011---i'd prob get them now. Since they are not a requirement for our October trip, I just can't cost justify a document that for a child will expire in 5 years - esp when the renewals are expansive - too. Knowing if we wait...2 of our 3 DD's will be 'considered' an adult (I must deaply inhale - exhale...when i type this) when these documents expire.

We received ours about two weeks ago

I have read all the way through it once and have been picking out bits and pieces of information over the last several days. Not too long now and we'll be on board experiencing it and not reading about it.

Keep in mind that when you go to the post office to get your passports, they send off your birth certificates. If you are concerned that the passports may not come in time (legit concern for sure), you may want to go ahead and get some more certified copies of the birth certs.

We received our brown envelopes yesterday. Woohoo!!!!!

We have paid in full and got ours - my in-laws have not paid in full and also got theirs. I don't guess it matters whether or not you are paid in full
