I've got our shirts all ready to post! HOPEFULLY, I'll do this right! I am sorry for the quality of the pictures. It was taken in the bathroom, and it was a rainy day. With the flash they were washed out, so this is without. As I said, I am really pleased with how Steve's and Connor's came out. Colton's will do and he likes it. I hate mine and look forward to redoing it! LOL

Wow, those are awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Are you taking orders :rotfl2: ?

Michele,

Your shirts look so great! Love 'em. The red one really pops!

DH and I went to WDW last year w/o the kids (for the first time) and ate at Capn Jacks at the last minute. We walked right in. After looking over the Capn Jack's menu that was posted, I'm pretty sure we had the shrimp and penne pasta and split it. PLENTY of food and we LOVED it. We agreed it was the best food we'd had at WDW ever. We are big fans of seafood.

I haven't posted much but still come browse our thread just about every day. Unfortunately I get pretty bummed since this cruise seems sooo far away. Trying to get pumped about the RCI cruise in September we will be on with another couple. It's hard to come down from the magic though. Just bein' honest!

The kids still don't know about this cruise. I surprised them with last September's 4 nighter on the Wonder and didn't tell them until about 1 month out. They knew there was a huge surprise in store for them but didn't know what it was.

I'm fearing this could be our last DCL cruise. ONLY because I wonder if my oldest DD, 10 at this cruise, will no longer be as into Disney as before. If she inherited her mother's genes then she'll NEVER be too old for Disney. She's such an adventurer I think she'd really enjoy the ice skating rink, mini golf, especially the flowrider on the Freedom/Liberty on RCI. But there's no replacing the magic.

Just my thoughts..............

HA HA HA, Erika!! :rotfl: You're so FUNNNNNY!!! Thanks too! They were actually easier to make then I thought, but they were a HECK of a lot messier then I thought! I didn't have the right equipment. I should have had a bunch of squirt bottles to work with, but I didn't. Don't laugh, but I had the peri-bottles from when I had the boys and then just measuring cups, oh and a few small travel size bottles that you refill. It was just a mess! As for the Mickey shape, I read on here that it is 3" and 5". Colton found a bowl in the kitchen that was 3.5 on one side and 5.5 on the other. PERFECT! I traced it on to posterboard and cut it out. Then traced that onto the shirts. Thanks again!!! :goodvibes

Welcome to all the new families!! It will be great fun to get to know each other while waiting for our cruise. Now just to keep all the names straight.:rolleyes1

I have no idea how I am going to keep up with this thread. LOL It keeps growing and growing. Erika will have to keep me up to date.

Congrats to Alexa on her ears, Erika. It will be time for Mickey head earrings in October.

To whoever made the shirts they looked great.I have yet to take on something that crafty and involved.

It was cold this am in Florida, as was Easter. It will start warming up tomorrow and I hope our cold temps are gone for good. The cold front came just in time for the kids to start back today after spring break.

Did someone mention a cruise website for our group? If so can soemone send me the link? Thanks!!

If I can figure out how to post a pic on the thread - I will include one from our cruise in 2005.

Take Care everyone!!

I love the t-shirts my kids would flip over them.. Were they really that easy to make...

Erika congrats to your daughter on her ears.. My girls are way to chicken to do it yet...

Still raining here today. this is what my backyard is looking like....

That was exactly what I was thinking!!!! I may have to get a pair for myself too LOL.

It was 76 here and beautifully sunny yesterday! Sorry, gloating again. It will only be 62 today, but it beats the 20 we had a week and a half ago.

That would be cute for both of you to have Mickey earings..

Today it is still cold and raining.....Where is the sun??!!!!!

Good Morning all! I found the thread where I learned to make the Mickey T's. Here is the link:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1210609&referrerid=&highlight=tie+dye+mickey+shirts
there is another set of instructions for the non-spiral Mickey t's. I think it was called Instructions for the visual learner. It had a Mickey head on the front and back.

Sunny here again, but rain is due to come in tomorrow. UGH. Our backyard is a swimming pool too...and the dogs are loving it! LOL Actually, even though our yard is fenced, when it's this wet, we take them out on leashes. This way, they go out, potty and come back, there no way they can play in the water! If they were smaller, I might not care, but they are both nearing 80# and I don't have a downstairs tub to put them in!

Have a MAGICal day! pirate:

Looks soo easy.. Where did you get the dye kit??

Your poor dogs....

Another day in CT!!!!
28_2_8v.gif

The dye kits you can get anywhere....Walmart, Michaels and ACMoore all had them. They cost about $10. I chose to buy the colors seperatly to get the colors that we wanted. They are called Procion. It's a dry powder you mix with water. I also had to buy soda ash to soak the t's in first. All together, with tshirts....on sale for $3 at ACMoore...4 colors, ash, floss, rubberbands, gloves and even saran wrap, I think it was under $40. I bought me another shirt today to try again. I think I'll do it tomorrow when it's RAINING again! UGH. At least today it was sunny and warmer! It's actually 65 right now! YEAH! :thumbsup2

Better start dinner....pork roast tonight! Yumm-o!

Hope this doesn't sound silly, but I have to ask. What is different between group bookings and regular bookings? Can't remember who it was that asked if we were interested in group bookings they could add someone to theirs. I was just curious to know since I'm a newbie cruiser lol.
BTW I just love those t-shirts that were posted here a couple of days ago.
We also would love to get the link to the website for this group! thanks

Hi,
Saw your post about he group bookings. Some of us have transferred our ressies to Carol who is a Travel agent and she is offering a group rate for the cruise if your interested the price is lower than what most of us already have // She also gave us all a higher onboard credit and she is giving us gifts in our rooms and either a Palo brunch for all of us or a private cocktail reception for anyone in the group booking. If your interested here is her information. let her know that your part of this cruise so you can get in on our group rate as well it really is a great deal..

If you send me an email I will send you the link to the web site then I can get your information posted on it..

If anyone else wants to research things about the ports too we can post that information as well.,..
Kristin
