Yep! when I was little, my dad would drive us to the what was then called Charlotte Motor Speedway and park on the side of Hwy. 29 so we could watch a few laps go by in turns 3 & 4. We are talking the early to mid-1970s -- Can't do that now with all the traffic since the sport went "national", that's for sure! I've gone to two races, but frankly, would rather sit at home and watch because the Memorial Day race is SO LONG! My high school band was paid to clean up after the race a few years in a row -- what a DISGUSTING JOB for a high schooler, or for anyone! Esp. when it would rain -- yuck! But a few of us did sneak our cars onto the track and take a partial lap!

I gotta bit of an idea how bad that job is. Been to Dover for 3 races, and under the stands you can't see 1 blade of grass. Its horrible. I remember when it was still called Charlotte Motor speedway, hell Dh still calls it that. On my list to get to at least once though. I don't imagine I'd go much if i were local though.

Yeah, but at least you hadn't been away for months. On my sabbatical from the thread i lost entire chapters If i dared to go back yall will be 3-4 chapters ahead if i even ever caught up.

On a sidenote though How do i get Mickey in my sig? I can't figure it out by myself

I hope you all have more room for another group of pirates to be added to your Oct. 11th cruise. We actually sailed in 2006 with WDWCrazzyCunninghams on the cruiseoctoberfest cruise.

Our pirate group consists of Julie(me), Garry(DH), Makenzie (DD 9yrs), Garry (a.k.a "the Big Guy" DS 7yrs), and Brooke (DD 4yrs).
