Just wanted to say hi before our busy day!

I went to bed with a backache and woke up with a headache...the kind that radiates to one eye and it feels like it's going to pop out of the socket?? It's going to be a long day and I don't need this!!!!!!

Mostly we talked about Prom dresses and stuff. Nothing major. Where are you staying agin night b4 the cruise?

Coolies Then we can watch the race together onboard. Chase will be in full swing when we cruise. TG Sunday's a sea day LOL. I have high hopes

Count my DH and myself in to watch the race onboard! I grew up outside of Charlotte, NC, and am a lifelong fan! DH is from NJ, so I had to "teach him" about racing, now he is a bigger fan than me. Lost my fervor when DE died -- on my b-day, no less!! Pulling hard for DE Jr. to get that long-overdue next win. Mix feelings about him going to Hendrick though. I think Tony Stewart is the last of the "real" racers, so I pull for him as well.

We'll be watching the Richmond race tomorrow night!

I have no idea yet. Would love to get in a group rate. I'm going through hotels and travelocity now seeing what the rates are. Some of them are higher than I'd like, and yet still cheaper than hotels in Richmond for the race this weekend LOL.

We are staying at the Hyatt at the airport.

OMG!! You've beat me to Lowes haven't you? Its killing me seeing the commmercials for the packages and not booking it, cause i got money!!! TIs ok though. My next sentence is we're going on a cruise, we're gonna have fun on the cruise.

And I entirely sympathize with you. I was just really starting to love DE when he died, oh i was shocked beyond belief. I have a leather DE jacket which is now 2-3 sizes too big which I still wear cause I just gotta come cold weather.

Tony's fun. I like him, but my DH doesn't. Tony reminds me of me when i was younger.

Yep! when I was little, my dad would drive us to the what was then called Charlotte Motor Speedway and park on the side of Hwy. 29 so we could watch a few laps go by in turns 3 & 4. We are talking the early to mid-1970s -- Can't do that now with all the traffic since the sport went "national", that's for sure! I've gone to two races, but frankly, would rather sit at home and watch because the Memorial Day race is SO LONG! My high school band was paid to clean up after the race a few years in a row -- what a DISGUSTING JOB for a high schooler, or for anyone! Esp. when it would rain -- yuck! But a few of us did sneak our cars onto the track and take a partial lap!

I hope you all have more room for another group of pirates to be added to your Oct. 11th cruise. We actually sailed in 2006 with WDWCrazzyCunninghams on the cruiseoctoberfest cruise.

Our pirate group consists of Julie(me), Garry(DH), Makenzie (DD 9yrs), Garry (a.k.a "the Big Guy" DS 7yrs), and Brooke (DD 4yrs).
