We are celebrating our 27th (a little early!) anniversary, and are traveling with our 2 boys, 11 and 14. Gonna have lots of fun on this cruise, for sure!

Glad you got a train home Sandy.

Its wild weather day here. Was nice and sunny and hot this morning, now there are some wicked storms moving through that'll really cool things off.

Actually, I ended up taking the bus home. Fortunately, I have the option. The only thing is that my wife had to pick me up from the bus and take me to my car at the train station. It's lucky I had that option, because who knows what time I would have gotten home. The news said that the power loss was probably due to lightening. We had severe thunderstorms last night.

I wasnt sure where you were from when I posted, so I thought in all fairness I must warn people about the traffic. Most people who are not from a busy city are scared to death when they come here and i know quite a few people who REFUSE to drive in miami at all Oh my they do sound just as bad there as here I guess it will be easy then for you to drive around down here

Just a question and I am not trying to be nosy or anything and you dont have to answer me if im being too "In your business" but is there a reason you are flying into miami and driving to the port (or just cost efficient?)

The only thing I'm afraid of down there is I-95. I thought NY drivers were crazy until I drove I-95 through FL.

My needs are a lot simpler than yours I'm sure. I just need a strobe light fire alarm in the stateroom in case it goes off when I'm sleeping. I don't know if I mentioned this, but I've been meaning to bring it up anyhow, I wear a cochlear implant on my right ear. Its great and i hear almost as well as regular person with it. Only trouble is that once I take it off to sleep I am completely deaf. The light will wake me but noise will not unless there is a very strong vibration to go with.

Well then, watch out for the toilets!

LOL... nah, remember, we are driving the BEAST, clear from Idaho! LOL! Wait till you see it... I have no idea how to post a photo on here, but maybe once I get a good photo of it with her porthole window stickers I will put a pic on Sean's web page. I DID put some cute pictures up today from his home coming after camp... IF you want to see my little darling!

Caringbridge has been a great way for us and others to communicate, share what is going on, and honestly, mostly for myself, it helps me keep a journal so that someday my boys will be able to read my thoughts and my heart about these years.

Your son has good taste. Those are our favorites as well! We also really like Sigfried and Roy's Gardens, the white lions and tigers really are pretty cool, and the dolphins are amazing! I never cared for Vegas as an adult, but this past year Mark (10) has started going to soccer tournaments there and I have to say, now I love it. I think it is a bit odd, or shows what a great mother I am, that one of my favorite places to go as a family is sin city!!??! But there is something about the excitement in a kid's eyes when they see all of the lights on the strip for the first time.

Oh yea we did the Sigfried and Roy garden at the Mirage as well...We were there all day!! He LOVES dolphins and we stayed in the underwater viewing area most of the day Yea I was thinking...OH MY what are people going to think of me as a mother bringing my 3 year old son to Vegas for our family vacation But There is a lot more to Vegas than just the girls

Yea they can be brutal and it doesn't help all of the truckers that take the whole road

So was the poison Ivy/Oak taken care of??? Its making me itchy just thinking about it

Denis, I can't beleive they told you no to cocktails!? Sheesh!! I can tell you, I won't be using them again! Just not worth it.

I am off to take Connor to a friends to swim, then get a card for a birthday party, make dinner, get Connor, eat dinner, take Connor to get his football gear and THEN go to the birthday/pool party!
