Good Morning Everyone!!!! We finally made it back to Idaho... it is nice to be home in my own little bed, but OH do I miss being on the road, and especially being on our Magical cruise... :(

Kaj in particular was in tears when we were leaving the ship... poor dear... he realized it could be his last cruise as a kid, since we really can't plan another one for sure anytime soon since Sean will likely be having surgery next year that will set him back for a few years.

We had a great time meeting everyone that we managed to meet! Sorry we didn't manage to get to any of the group meets, we were busy relaxing in the Rainforest Spa, having Palo Brunch, and just enjoying ourselves! :)

Thank you EVERYONE who participated in the FE exchange... we had a ball coming back to the stateroom and finding surprises! What FUN! Just so you know, the postcard with the state of Idaho on it was created and designed by Kaj... part of a school assignment.

Anyway... time to get back to work, I have to get our school schedule in order as we start back on monday... poor kids, they seem to think we should stay in vacation mode for another month or two! HAH! I don't THINK so!!!!! Catch you all later!!!!!

Glad you got home safe heidi:) I was wondering if you had. Poor Kaj cryed all the way through breakfast. I hated to see him cry. And I'm surprised that i didn't. I was soooo NOT ready to get off the ship. The postcard is cool, and as I was just going through your bag i realized that the potato sack was a magnet. Very cool. Its now on our fridge:cutie:

OH HEY

I just found the last FE gift!! It was sitting in our FE and i didn't realize it till just a little while ago that the top pocket had a bulge in it. E xtremely cute handmade Mickeyhead magnet.

Fess up who made it?

A week gone from the cruise and a nice little surprise it was. Glad i decided to hange the FE up in our kitchen.

Hello, everyone busy day here went to help out with Pirate Day in School, then off to see a friend who had a baby while we were away and now off to dinner and then to see HSM 3.. Be back later on!!!!!!!!!!

OK, started uploading pics onto the computer. Got hte first set done NP. But gotta dilemna with the second card. It stopped shooting pics on PIrate night cause we think the 4MP was too high a setting. Wouldn't let us fix it without reformatting the card. But there 300 pics on it including the ones from Nassau and what have you.

Now we can't find a way to to get the pics off the card. OUr computer tells us the card needs reformatting. Do that and the 300 pics on it are gone. Anybody got any ideas?

I just had to bring everyone a sack of potato's from Idaho! :) And they didn't take up much space in the Beast either... LOL! (Someone... I wonder who... has a can of spam magnet too....)

Kaj is feeling a little better now.. he had to get home for rehearsals, and was honored to find out that he was chosen for 2 roles in the play, and a costume change between that is only 10 lines long! YIKES! He had better change faster than he showered on the last night... he took a 45 minute shower (and they say WOMEN take a long time to get dressed... HAH!)

big sigh.....it's raining, a steady cold rain, it's dark, the house lights are on, the trucks headlamps came on, and we have not heard that practice is cancelled! UGH. I have told Connor I will be waiting in the truck for him, with towels all over the seats and floor. Here's hoping it won't be a full practice either!

I'll check in later when we get home.......

I would take the card with you to work and see if they can read it on thier reader, if so, then just have them copy the photos to a disc, then load that to your pc. Other then that, see what Allen can think of. He's pretty computer savvy.

Eww... sounds nasty! We could sure use some of that rain though Michele! Send it our way please!

is it really????????? ugh!!!
Yea, and they are sneaky about it too. The prices are in Cayman dollars, and when they run your card, it converts to US dollars and almost doubled!!!!:scared1:

Cool idea! I found the magnet in the FE, but don't know how long it had been there. I put it on the door!!

DON'T REFORMAT THE CARD!!!!!!!!
It could be your computer doesn't like the large amount of data. Or it could be something on the card is corrupted. There is software available to recover the pictures if something is wrong with the card. Are you just plugging up the camera to the computer, or do you have a card reader?? A couple of things to try.... If your computer has more that one usb port, try another port. I can only use certain ports with large media cards. If that doesn't work, take the card to Walgreens, or does Target do digital photo printing? If so, they can likely transfer the data to a cd. If you don't have any luck, you may have to get that recovery software.... Let me know if I can help...

Hi Heidi!! Sorry we missed you, but I think my Mom met you at breakfast at CIS.
I'm making a pot of Tim Horton's!! Seems like a lot of coffee for 48 oz's of water, but I'm gonna try it!!!

We have a similar problem that Brian is hoping to figure out. We had to get a new camera while on the road as mine died... (boo hoo!) and we decided to let Kaj be the first to use it (meaning I did not have time or energy to figure out how to use a new camera!!) He forgot one little thing however... he did not format the memory card before taking pictures on it.... so we have about 100 precious photos that we can't download onto my computer. The card came with software so hopefully Brian can salvage the pics... gonna try this weekend.

Hi everyone!

I'm back from my post-cruise WDW Food and Wine extravaganza and have finally finished 13 loads of laundry!!:scared1:

The cruise was fantastic, wasn't it? It was great meeting some of you at the reception - thanks for the "Hi Mary!'s", Erika! Like a couple others on the cruise, I was traveling with a big family group and being the ring leader, I was somewhat occupied. It's great that so many of you got so well connected and that you're planning another cruise!!!:thumbsup2

Unfortunately, we didn't rebook. With DD heading to college in the fall, we just couldn't commit to anything. All your plans make me sad I didn't work harder to convince my DH! My nephew and his fiance did rebook - they loved it!

Allen- I think I saw you a couple of times sitting on the wooden bench just around the corner from the Cove Cafe. I was back and forth between Signals and the comfy lounge chairs. I almost said hello because I guessed it might be you (by your name!) but wasn't sure. When I saw the pictures you posted, I realized it was you!

My kids, niece, friend and exchange student had a blast. Their favorite thing was the dolphin swim at Atlantis which we added Wed. night. It made missing St. Thomas worth it for them. We hit Senor Frogs and my nephew and fiance did the shots (not me!). He also bought some great Cuban cigars.

Things I loved: martini tasting, 2 spa treatments (aahhh...), reading on the verandah, big cushy chairs outside Cove Cafe, pineapple mojitos on Castaway Cay and dinner every night with my family (except Palo dinner which was divine!)

Glad all of you had a great time and just sorry that it went by so quickly!

well, that had to be THE shortest practice in history! LOL They told the boys no pads when we got there, and to meet in the parking lot. I stayed in my warm dry truck and sent my boy out into the rain. At 10 after 6, he comes back and jumps in the truck! ??? He said Coach went over a few things for special teams and told everyone to be at the field at 515 tomorrow evening for the game! that was it! THANK GOODNESS!!

On one shoulder is my "Do Good" conscience telling me I should take advantage of this free from football time and should do some chores, on the other side, my "Do Bad" conscience is telling me that I wouldn't have had time to do anything anyway, so I should just do NOTHING! LOL Maybe I can do a bit of each...... But I can HEAR my PJs calling me from my bedroom!!!

Connor wants a fire in the fireplace...I don't really want to fool with it. Although, Smores sound yummy for dessert!

That was me!! It was a good shady spot!! It was good spot to listen to music and watch the water go by!

go for bad Michele!!!!!!!! you need some relax time LOL

anyone know how to add a link in my siggy with a title? I want to add a link to our cruise pics!!

go for bad Michele!!!!!!!! you need some relax time LOL

LOL when I first read this, I read it as go for BED, not BAD. LOL I have been bad....just sitting here, reading this and searching DCL site. I am debating over which cruise to take still!! I have not heard back from Carol, but that's okay, it's Friday. the best deal IS Oct 16, BUT we also got a letter from the BOE saying that Colton should be bringing home paperwork to start picking his classes for next year (high school) and based on his scores (report cards and standardized testing) he should consider taking Advanced Placement Classes, some qualify as college credits and he won't have to re-take them in college. SO, if we are going to go the AP route, he REALLY shouldn't miss a week of school, either at the end for finals or in the middle for that matter!!!! But booking the June 13, 5 night Wonder is $1500 more then the May 30th. If we wait until Thanksgiving, it's $3500 more then the May 30th and $3400 more then the Oct 16. I looked at the 10 and 11 night Southern Caribbean...how nice would those be?? But just WAY out of the park at $17,270 and $17,997 respectfully!! I just can't fathom spending THAT much for a vacation.....ANY vacation!

It's jam-jam time.....
