Arriving October 1 for our 25th anniversary celebration. I didn't put it together that is the 1st day of the 50th celebration.
We will arrive for the afternoon and planned to head to Epcot for food and wine with no plan for attractions. Why is Epcot listed as a 10 on TP? I thought MK would be the worst?

Ratatouille opens that day.

MK full and Epcot has more capacity
Ratattouile opening to the public (it's virtual queue so you have to sign in at 7)
New France dining options opening
Food & wine
Debut of the nighttime spectacular HarmoniUS
also it's a Friday, so might get locals who got park reservations coming in after work/school to see H
yes it will be crazy.

I think every park will be "the worst" on that day. Not that I wouldn't love to be there....but if crowds are not your thing, you might avoid....everywhere. :jumping1:

all of the above will make it crazy.
Friday night and Saturdays are already crazy during F&W. With Ratatouille and Harmonius opening will make it much worse.

and if hopping is allowed I expect pretty much everybody from HS and AK (who has a hopper and can get in) to hop over to EC for Harmonius.

I'm actually going to be in Epcot, counting on some crowds. I will try the virtual queue for Rat and have an ADR for pizza so I don't have to worry much about food lines.

We're going to be at Epcot on either Sat 10/16 or Sun 10/17

Does anyone think these will be typical October weekend crowds, or much worse due to the 50th? Or will Covid tamp it down a little?

We are flying in on the 1st also and are going to Epcot for that afternoon and evening. We are expecting it to be wall to wall given the crowd calendar predictions. :crowded::crowded::crowded: But it will still be fun. :goodvibes

But after Oct 1st, and a few days after, how does anyone think the rest of the month of October for crowds will be at Epcot?

Probably a 4 or 5 on a crowd level scale of 1-10 for all of October and much of November.
