Oct vs Nov

I have made reservations to go to Disney for November 12 - 17. We always go at this time b/c it is my DS's bday. Now that he is in 1st grade this year, I am starting to second guess taking him out of school. His fall break is from October 20 - 26, so I am trying to figure out if it would be best to go in October. We have been in the past in November when it was very warm, and very humid. We went this past December and it was very chilly in the mornings. I am wondering how much warmer it will be in October. It would only be about 2 weeks earlier than we have planned, but I know that could make a huge difference. Does anyone have any experience at the end of October?

We love seeing the Christmas decorations also, so is it decorated at Disney for Halloween?

I don't know about the weather, but I do know that Halloween will be still up at that point being as it's pre-holiday and will have a number of MNSSHP events going on from that point until November 1st.

I'd go in October. It is quite late in the month, so it shouldn't be too warm. 2 weeks might make a small difference, but not a lot. Temperature variability is also a factor.

Now, August is HOT!

This is our 17th Halloween at WDW!!!! We usually arrive the Friday before Halloween and are there for 10-12 days (we are empty nesters so don't have to worry about school). The weather is fantastic. Usually around 80-85, lower humidity, no afternoon thunderstorms. Nights go about 65-70 - sweatshirts on some nights. There were a couple of years that it was "chilly" during the day but that is not the norm. Florida weather is unpredictable but the odds have always been in our favor for great weather.

We always miss the MVMCP by a couple of days. We always start seeing the Xmas decorations going up two days after the last MNSSHP. So this year we changed our plans and are arriving on 10/31. MNSSHP on 11/1 and MVMCP on 11/8. MK is all done up by that time for the party and the castle is just beautiful with the lights.
