Oct Ressie

Has anyone had trouble getting a studio 7 month ressie in Oct? We would be staying Sun-Wed. Our home resort is SSR but we would like to try for BWV or BCV. We considered booking at SSR and then changing at 7 months, but if we got BWV, it is fewer points and we don't want to have those points stuck in this use year. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

What do you mean by that?

As for BCV or BWV at 7 months during October as it is Food and Wine Festival at Epcot these resorts get booked very early often by owners of the two, you may be lucky if you are flexible with dates and type of accommodation view, but I would say it may be easier to keep your SSR ressie.

You could wait until 7 months and see what is available. I do not think that you will get standard view then, but if you are lucky, great! If SV isn't available, then book at SSR. Since you are worried about points in the UY, I wouldn't try the waitlist, but maybe you will. If you do, don't bother with SSR then, I would do the waitlist for a day at a time...you may have holes for awile in your ressie, but when your patience runs out, say with 4 months to go, you can still most likely book SSR.

I am a BWV owner and I just booked my October reservation (Oct. 22-31) at the 11 month window day by day because I wanted to make sure I get a standard view studio. Getting BWV and BCV at the 7 month window during food and wine is not easy. Most likely the standard view rooms will be long gone before the 7 month window ever arrives. You may get a preferred view, but may have to waitlist to get it. My friend waitlisted for the BCV studio last year and never got it it (calling at the 7 month mark).

I just booked my BWV standard view Oct 08 reservation for Oct 19 to 31. I then decided I wanted to extend my trip by adding the previous week, but at this early date, it was not available. I was able to book the 17th and 18th, but that's it.

I booked a standard view studio at my 11 month window for BWV for 1st week of October. I doubt you'll get standard view at the 7th month window. Maybe a preferred view if you do it right at the 7th month window. I seriously doubt BCV would be available unless you do the last week of September (and pick up a few days of food and wine the end of September).

As a BWV owner I also just finished a day-by-day for the last week of Oct.'08 in a standard studio. As you can see from the above replies to your post, they go very quickly. If you're willing to take a preferred studio, you could book SSR for insurance (if that vacation time is important to you), and try for a preferred BW studio at 7 months; there wouldn't be any point difference for you to worry about with that category.
