I am thinking about going October 30 to November 8, 2011 and it will be our first time staying on property. Does anyone know if there are any discounts coming out for this time? Any suggestions would be helpful on ways to save money for our trip. Thanks and have a magical day.

The kids stay & play free promotion has to be booked by 3/27 for dates up to 10/1. If Disney offers a promotion for October, I would not expect to see it before 3/28.

We stayed last November and got free dining. That didn't come out until spring however. I booked our trip and called guest services to add the free dining promotion when it came out. I plan on doing the same thing for our trip in October. For others that have stayed more than once they often times attach a pin number to your phone number or name so when you call asking for deals they might have one for you the next time.

We always spend the first night off-property, using Priceline to get a cheap room. It's usually late, we're not going to use a day's admission for the short day, and if we're using the dining plan, we're not paying for a full day's meals.

If we're returning home in the morning, we may do the same on the back.
