Oct-Dec FD

If FD comes out for Oct-Dec. it looks like Thanksgiving and pop warner weeks will be blacked out and FD will start back Dec. 12th. I know you can book your stay on the last day of a free dining window and still get free dining for the remainder of the trip. Does it work the other way around? We will be staying at Disney on Dec. 12th so can we get free dining for the days before?

To get FD you have to check in on a night when the special is in effect so if FD starts on Dec 12 and you're already there it wouldn't work for you unless...

If it starts in the middle of your trip you could make 2 separate reservations - one for the nights before FD, the second res starting on the first day of FD. Historically the FD special requires a minimum 3 night stay and 2 day MYW tickets for everyone 3 years and older in the room and your resort/room category would have to be included and have availability.
