oct crowds after Columbus day...

We had orginally had our trip booked oct 9 -12 until I realized

that was over Columbus day.

Since our 25th anniversay is 10-13 the lastest I could push it was leaving 10-12 so we'd be there on our anniversary

I figure the crowds would be heavy over the weekend but do they start clearing our during the week?

also how are the crowds that week (we'll be there oct 12 thru 19)

I'm with you on this one. We will be there 10-16 October and know that the first days will be extremely busy but was curious if the crowds will drop off on Tuesday. I understand the school's teachers training days are cancelled due to hurricane makeup days but I don't know if the schools are open on Columbus day as a makeup also. Let's hope for low crowds

Dh and I have been several times during Columbus Day weekend and overall the crowds have been very manageable. The crowds do drop off a bit after the holiday but they really aren't that bad to begin with.

Just a side note that we could see a few more people than normal if people rescheduled from Labor Day weekend decided to make use of the holiday weekend in Oct.

Dznypal, we are celebrating our October 13th anniversary at DW as well. Will be 32 years for us. Naturally we were there for our 25 also. LOL

This will be our second year going Columbus Day weekend. We're going Oct. 10-17. I agree that the crowds seemed to go down later into the week. It will be interesting to see how the crowds differ with the F&W Festival beginning earlier in the month.
