HI PJ !

We booked a couple weeks ago--family trip--taking our granddaughter (almost 3), her parents and uncle. Gave them print outs of the reservation for Christmas. They knew about it earlier though so all could arrange vacation time.

Using my I-phone, I looked for a thread on our 10 hour drive home yesterday but only skimmed the beginning. I was not sure what to make of the Nana references and teasing ( I am very literal so it is notW funny to me) so intended only to lurk but PJ brought me out today.

I usually chat on the DIS but DH likes to be alone-together or with our kids and so we don't get onto meets, photos or FE's

We're back in the good ol' USA again. Our flight from London landed last night at LAX at 4:30pm and our flight home leaves at 1:10pm today....if it's not delayed or cancelled?!

It's been an amazing 3 week vacation, but we're all very anxious to get home now.

Hi Denise, well I guess we need to put our thinking caps on now to prepare for Gregs return. Gotta keep ahead of his insults

Still raining here and our temps are getting down to the low 30s at night now, so maybe a little bit of the white stuff may come down but it wont stick, its too wet.

Not much else happening here today. I am just going to lay around all day today. I can tell I am trying to get this cold for the 3rd time so if i relax maybe it wont happen.

Good morning Nanas!

I promised Mom that I'd get around to doing the cruisemate list after my vacation ... which came and went without nary a sign of a list. But now I have NO excuses - time to get going on creating our first draft. I see I have 2 PMs from newbies to include (thanks). I have to look back at emails from Kathy and find some more. From the repeaters, I think there's Christine, Jeff, Jamie, Tonya, Denise & Wally, Kathy, Maryellen ... who am I missing?

We are doing the same thing. Orginally I wanted to be at dinner during midnight but it's so much easier (and safer) to do an early dinner and be home for the New Year.

Denise, Christine, I am with you. No big plans. Will eat at home and watch movies, football and the Rose Parade. Maybe talk with the kids on the phone but certainly want to stay home and be safe again this year.

Well Greg came home last night with a new TV which is great !! The old one only works when it wants to and makes terrible noises. It came with the Rv so its probably at least 10 years old.

We now have a nice 32 inch flat screen TV and Greg put on arm on it so we can rotate it from side ot side and out towards us or back to the cabinet area. I never realised how bad the old ones picture was getting until I got the new one. Now to learn the remote. It looks like a control panel from an airplane or something
Now we can watch the movies we got for Christmas on a great screen.

Still cold and rainy here although they say the rain could be snow later today but its way to wet for it to stick. Farmers fields are lakes and the poor cows and sheep have little land left to roam on for now. Winter crops are getting ruined too. But we are still so much better off than back east with all the snow.

Just had some snow showers with big heavy wet snow flakes but of course it didnt stick. Only 39 right now so we may get some more later. They keep saying around 3 p.m. we should get snow, so we shall see.

I'm afraid my sleep deprivation won't be over for a while yet. Now that we're back we've got to get ready to fly down to Phoenix for the BCS national championship game to watch my wife's brother play against the Auburn Tigers on Jan. 10. It should be a good game!

Had a great Christmas! Kinda crazy around here with the kids all home from school. Got all the decorations packed away for next year, nice to have the house"back"! No special plans for New Years, just let the kids have a "camp out" in front of the T.V. We have a lot of snacks and watch movies. They are hoping to stay up til midnight. Glad everyone had a great Christmas, now on to the cruise planning!

How's your weather now? We are all ice today but no snow. Luckily I covered the steps so they arnt icy so we dont fall again while going outside.

Hope to get my photos down loaded soon. Problem is my computer isnt compatable with the new camera so I have to have them down loaded onto Gregs computer or a memory stick then transfer them to my computer. So I have to remember while he is home.

Kathy: we are supposed to reach 51 tomorrow...its in the 40's today with some rain....melting all the snow...after tomorrow tho...satudary is back in the 20's and I am soooo sure more snow and a lot more cold weather to follow..

working today and 1/2 day tomorrow.....so I gotta run right now....

Hi Kathy,

We're still deciding who is going to the game. Janel for sure is going, but Chayce may go with here. After traveling over 18,000 miles this month I'm in no hurry to go anywhere else.

I just finished uploading the rest of our vacation photos on Facebook. Now I can start working on the video.
