I'll organize the Palo brunch if you'd like...

Nenner1- just wanted to let you know that we'll be in STT on the same day!! Pods & I come home from STJ that day, we'll be on the 10 am ferry (whenever that arrives) and flying over your heads at 1:40 pm (they made the flights MUCH earlier than they used to be- I HATE that!!!). Only 2 weeks from today, we're on vacation!!! WOO-HOO for us!!!!!

No way- how awesome is that!!! So where are you staying? Last time I was in STJ- (oh 1981...) we stayed in Cinnamon Bay for 2 weeks. I was only 6 so I remember very little of it but..

We are actually going over to Trunk Bay that day so we will be passing you on the ferries! Don't know if you are doing Red Hook ferry or Charlotte Amalie but we plan on taking the first Red Hook to STJ, so we may be two ships literally passing in the night ( or day) LOL!

Isn't it wonderful...with all the cold weather I am really looking forward to it even more!

We're hoping to go into Charlotte Amalie, since it's MUCH closer to the airport (last year we had to go into Red Hook and THAT was not so good- the taxi took an unwanted detour to Paradise Point and it was The driver didn't know if the taxi could even make it. I just kept staring at the Magic waaaaaaaaaaayyyyy down below!

We're staying in a villa in Cruz Bay on Rendezvous Bay called Villa Tesori with some friends we go to STJ with every January. Here's a link to our GORGEOUS villa for that week-

We only stay until Weds because Pods is a CPA and that's all the time he can afford to be away in January, right when tax season is about to start. Our friends stay the whole week.

you have a better chance of going if you "try" and it is well worth trying!!
your window for making reservations opens on 8/16 try as early as possible on that day and you will probably be ok

I called DCL this morning to find out about booking a group into Palo- I will call the group number they gave me tomorrow to initially book the private room for us (but I'm betting there will be more than 12 of us, so then it will be 2 tables in the main dining room). We all will still need to make our own ressies (at the same time) and then link them together (which I will do when everyone pm's me their info). Once on board, I'll go to Rockin' Bar D to sweet talk them into putting big tables next to each other.

Sooo.....for now, please PM me if you are hoping to book Palo Brunch on Thursday morning at 11 am so I have an idea of #'s. Thanks!!

I made Ron do all the ferry plannng. It gave me a headache..."walk to Kmart...then cross the street" LOL. But I think the 8:00. Considering there is taxi-ing and all that I actually have no clue what time we may be where..maybe he'll chime in (hoping he has an idea...he better)

Oh yes, definitely be online ASAP when your woindow opens, at midnight if you can. But don't worry if you don't get a spot online they do still have some available once you board. Just get on the boat right away and get straight to Rockin Bar D.

On our last cruise we got really lucky. I was on at midnight (actually 11:59 I accidentally hit enter and suprisingly got in- I had read horror stories that trying to get in before midnight will "lock" you out of the site but thankfully that didn't happen to me!) There were 3 spots left and we did get one of them. This was the 90 days CC window but that particular cruise was a special cruise and FULL of CC members (and a lot of REAS people too back when they had that). Now with the tiered CC structure, with us being lowly (what...gold? I don't even know, under 5 cruises) members, I don't expect much. But it all depends, so you never know! If you want to try it, don't give up. They even have a waiting list if you don't get anything once on board so there is hope!

I have another science project to "help with" today...when I really need to be doing laundry and packing. So I'd better get some coffee to warm me up and get busy!

We will be dressing up for Pirate night, and hadn't really thought about dressing up for Halloween till I saw disney-cruiser's photo.

Maybe DH and myself will borrow your past idea and dress as Hippies. I had seen the instructions for the Mickey tye dyed shirts and have always wanted to try it. It's a simple enough costume, and wouldn't take a lot of space to pack (not like my DS 6's costume, if I can find one, he wants to be a storm trooper).

DIS Trick-Or-Treating
This event will be held Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10:00 am. The meeting place will be named at a future date. Please PM dizzi (aka Lynn) if you would like to participate.

The current plan for this event is:
You will contact dizzi to sign up.
A "dertermined" amount of money will be sent to dizzi per child.
dizzi will buy the candy and pack the goodie bags.

The day of the event, each child will wake to a treasure map under their stateroom door. The map will guide the children around the ship where they will search for clues at 4 different stops. While the stops will be made in different orders by the maps, all children will end up at the 4th stop together where they will find their treasure!

Our family will be dressing up! I had wanted to be a family of Hippies, but DS12 is sooooooooooooooooooooo not into it- he refuses. His idea is we all wear his costume from this past Halloween.

He was...and I quote..."A guy with a mustache- the best costume EVER!"



So....I think we are going as a family with mustaches. On the plus side, I'm thinking we'll be the only ones dressed this way.
However I will be wearing the tie-dye dress I had already gotten to be a hippie.

Being the mother of a pre-teen is EXHAUSTING!!!!!!

And my Dress takes up half a suitcase...I will NOT be reducing the amount of suitcases this year...as i try for less and less each year...

But DH and i will use our costumes from our MNSSHP visit to WDW last year (seems weird saying last year)

We are Prince and Princess Mickey Head.
yes, i made them up there are no real Princes and Princess mickey Heads..
But i love my dress just need to make a new SHINIER CROWN for us as ours was made out of poster board for WDW.

And need to make DH an ASCOTT i believe it is called .........

I think we will try to enter the ADULT costume contest.
