Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

Any recent info on Caribbean Weather? Just curious.

Port Canaveral Saturday 80/65 Partly Cloudy rain 20%
Key West Sunday 81/65 Scattered showers rain 30%
Cayman Tuesday 85/79 Isolated Tstorms rain 30%
Cozumel Wednesday 79/66 Showers rain 60%
Castaway Cay Friday 81/74 Partly Cloudy 10%

Look slike the only iffy day is Cozumel, and there is still plenty of time for that to change. Plus one of the locals told us last time "It never rains for more than 10 minutes in Cozumel" (and it didn't when we were there). So all in all it sounds pretty darn good! :thumbsup2

Nenner, I don't know if I would recognize you, actually, truthfully, I think I might recognize your kids if I saw them, lol. For some reason, kids faces become more familiar in my mind than adult faces. I don't want you to have to carry around any more stuff than you already are, so it's ok to just bring them to Grills.

I did already switch your lanyards over to the MK bag, so it's no problem, if you see us (or think you see us ) and want to say hi, go for it! If not, no problem- I'll have them Friday. No, you probably wouldn't recognize me (especially since I got all my hair cut off)- but our matching tie dye shirts and dresses might give us away! :lmao:

Oh... duh! It's the air show going on that day - not the launch. I was confused and/or forgot! As schimj said, we are super busy this week so I should have known better than to try to rationalize anything. Thanks for the info :thumbsup2

LOL, no problem, totally understand!! :goodvibes

vacation has been a lot of fun and some rather dramatic stories. That said, for those that may the praying kind, my sister just had a baby. She was walking down her house stairs when she tripped and fell. My nephew flew out of her hands and down the stairs. They are at the St Louis Children's hospital where he going to stay the night. He has a fracture in his skull but that is all we know. I think they are trying to keep us from worrying since we are on vacation. I ll keep ppl posted to let you all know more as I get it. Now for us, off to Mk... laters

I still have to work on Friday - we're leaving here at 3:00 am on Saturday morning for our 6:00 am flight...Friday is going to be a looooooooooooong day.

My big busy day is tomorrow. Gotta get everything done!

Safe travels to all on their way. See you real soon!

MY CHILD LEARNED TO SWIM IN ORLANDO!

This is as emotional for me as the day he first walked! We had him in swimming lessons this past summer, just to prepare him as much as we could for Captain Marvins. What the lessons gave him, was confidence in the water, and bravery to attempt new things. He learned to float and swim With the help of a life jacket, but never learned to do this unassisted. I bought him a snorkle set from Costco this summer too to have him parctice in our backyard pool. Having the mask over his face though, sent him into a fit, and refused to try again. Well, I brought that set here with us. DS7 through a fit in our hotel room when I said I was bringing this down to the pool. Now granted, the little guy was so tired and could have used a nap. The tears and tantrum, and when he does this, his face gets all blotchy red,,, my goodness. I told DH, leave him, I'll stay up here with him and get him to have a nap. But no DS's tantrum got even bigger with that news. At this point DH quickly got his attention the old fashioned way, and the tantrum stopped and off we went.

Well, WELL, later at the pool, DS on his own decided to take that mask and try it out. Once he had it on he began to practice by putting his face in the water and breathting through the snorkle tube. He liked that!!! Then he said, "Now all I need to do is learn how to swim" after which he tried doing the doggy paddle then realized HE WAS ACTUALLY DOING IT! For the next two hours, all this child did, was SWIM, UNASSISTED for the first time EVER!!!! He wouldn't stop! Kept swimming face down, breathing through the tube, floating on his belly, kicking his legs, and making strokes with his arms, from the steps to the 4ft marker, back and forth, back and forth!!!! HE LEARNED TO SWIM HERE IN ORLANDO!!!! Now THIS, THIS is MAGIC!!!

Judy - Congrats on your DS swimming!!!! Great news and that will make it even more fun at Capt Marvins!!!!

We finished the main packing tonight. I just have to finish up our carry-ons and put the toiletries together tomorrow. We fly out early Friday morning so we are spending the night at my parents tomorrow so since they live only 10 min from the airport.

Safe travels to all and I look forward to meeting everyone on the ship!!!!

Completely exhausted!

Ran home from work and straight to the nail place. Mani/Pedi completed and then straight home. I already messed up one thumb, GRRRR! I hate when that happens.

Packing all the last minute stuff and DH is loading the car as we speak. Our flight is at 8 a.m. tomorrow, so we have to be out of here by 5:30....gotta love the Long Island traffic!

Looking forward to meeting all of you! Safe travels to everyone.

Judy, so cool about Tim swimming! Yay Tim! :cheer2:

Yeah...I'm so excited for Tim. And that reminds me to go grab the twins' snorkel gear in the basement!!!!

Just wanted to let you know we are sending up a prayer for your nephew. I know it is hard to hear news like that while you are away. I hope he is fine.

Hey Jen (or anyone that knows. . . ) - would you please tell me again where Dopey will be at MNSSHP? thanks!

Well, you can call us dopey 'cause we stood in line for about an hour and 15 minutes to have out photo taken with them. DH is either a :littleangel: saint or absolutely  nuts for going along with my ideas sometimes.

So sorry to hear about your nephew. Your poor sister must be a mess. I think that is great they are keeping him overnight to observe. We will keep them in our prayers. See you Saturday.

I don't think we stood in line for the magic 7 (dwarfs) for more than about 20 mins. We sorta walk up on them without knowing they were there. I think we came out with about 3lbs of candy. The party was SO worth it IMO. More than a regular visit for sure. The pain in our feet I think we just can't bare any longer so I decided to not worry about rope drop in the morning at DHS.

Thanks Beachbumpirastes and tinkofbluesgrass. The information is coming out really slow. my sister is a complete wreck as Drew was just born last week. I feel horrible for her cause she is always OVER-protective and this is just going to make i worse. The good news that we know of is that all his test came back negative so they are just watching him. I think we are fortunate to have one of the best Children's hospitals so close. I ll hopefully get to talk once more before the "pool party"

We are all packed, having some breakfast, car service picks us up at 8:00 AM. Our flight is 11:00 AM out of Newark, should be at BLT by around 3ish. T-Rex dinner tonight in DTD! Everyone is a little tired, but very excited! :cool1:

Safe travels everyone. See you real soon.
