I haven't been very vocal on this board, so I don't expect you to mourn for me, but I have had to change my vacation dates due to my husband's inability to get the time off. We are now hoping to sail on the 10/17 instead. It is hard to add even 2 weeks to your wait period when you have already been waiting 8 months to cruise, but that is life, I suppose! Anyway, I hope you all have a fabulous time (and don't wreck that boat...I will be needing it!)

I hope everyone is having a good weekend...kinda rainy here which stinks. It's supposed to rain today. I hope it holds off for Nelia, she has a soccer game at 10:30am. They say they play in the rain but I have to think that's the older kids not the 5 yr olds. Well I am off to return to bed. Had to pee(story of my life) and I thought oh I will check out FB & Dis.

I finally got my tkts for MNSSHP. I am really excited. We are going to go Friday. I figured we are going to be at Magic Kingdom anyway because it is the girls birthday, so why not just do it then. Hopefully everyone can make it through the day.

Hey all! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Happy Mother's Day to all you mommy's out there.

My weekend was spent with a sick baby. She doesn't have allergy issues. I took her to the doctor on Friday and she has a cold. She has been running a fever between 102 and 104 all weekend. The doctor said if this continues by tomorrow (Tuesday) then we are to bring her back in. Poor little thing. Her daddy is home with her today and I will be home with her tomorrow. Hopefully she's feeling better really soon.

I was thinking about the people on our thread and all that has been going on in everyone's lives. I'd say we have enough drama with sickness, home issues, job situations, people needing to cancel or reschedule their cruises, etc., that we could put together our own soap opera.

We all desparately need this cruise and it just can't seem to come soon enough!!!

I know some of you mentioned where you were staying the night before the cruise and I can't remember any of them (except for Michelle cause I asked her on FB - LOL). Our family is staying at the Wingate by Wyndham Orl Intl Airport. We opted to take the Disney transportation because we like the bus and it's a part of our experience. It was also easier to do with the rest of the crew coming with us than trying to decide who was going to get a vehicle, etc. and so forth. Thus the need to stay near the airport. So, if anyone is planning on staying at this hotel, let me know.

Yay Kristi! That is really exciting. So is it the stuff they send out about shore excursions? I'm just wondering if we will all start getting it soon? We only have one mail key and it's on Ryans key chain don't ask me why, cuz I'm the one that's home all day! He got home late last night and forgot to check the mail and now I have to wait until this evening to see if we got anything.

Robin--I'm excited for you too. We went to MNSSHP two years ago in Oct. and LOVED it! I was going to try to swing it this time too, but we decided (ok, I decided)that we were going to do one of the water parks the day we get off the ship, and then fly home Sunday. Everytime we've gone to WDW the girls (especially Ashley) have wanted to go, but I've been more concerned with seeing all of the parks that we haven't done it. So we are going to go to Blizzard Beach right after we get off the ship, but the girls don't know it.

Thank you to those of you who have PM'd me your address! I'm getting started on the FE gifts today.

I just counted out (roughly) 90 days and I came up with July 5 for booking Palo and excurssions for CC members. That means that we actually have to pay the cruise in full before the "paid in full" date. Just thought I would throw that out there to anyone who cares.

Yes this is the one with all the excursion info, etc. I love the little folder they give you as everything will fit in it. It was fun sitting here today and reading through it. It reminded me that by this Saturday I need to get Katelin's passport paperwork in. I started it but was waiting for her final US birth certificate with her US name. That is now all done and she will forevermore be Katelin Lan Foster. So passport, here we come.

Hello Everyone,

It has been kind of crazy around here. Our schools were closed for 2 days due to the swine flu. No cases were reported at my school, but now we are going to have to go to school 2 extra days to make up those we missed. My son's band trip was cancelled, and now it is moved to the first of June. All I can say is that I am so ready for school to be out and to get a chance to relax. The cruise can't get here quick enough.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. Today is my oldest son's 14th birthday. I can't believe he is starting high school in the fall. We just got home from his band concert. Graduation is the 21st. There is just too much going on right now.

I did get some good news last week. I am getting my tenure. I am very excited and grateful for this.

Congratulations Gena that's great news! I know what you mean about having one in high school! This year was my oldest DD's first year in high school and it was very nerve racking! Especially the first day when I had to drop her off to go to school with MEN!
Well, we didn't get anything in the mail yet. Kristi, who are you booked through? I know sometimes that makes a difference. Now I'm going to be obsessed with checking the mail everyday...
Well, I got off to a good start with FE's yesterday. I think they are going to turn out really cute! If anyone else wants to PM their address that would be great, I think I have about 6 peoples. If not, no biggee, I will just make a "generic" version of what everyone else will be getting. Laura, I have yours, but I need your mom's. Terri, I need your street number, well nevermind, I will just get it when I walk by on the way to school. Also, I need your sisters (they are doing FE right?)and her friends.

kRISTI--I hope Katelin is well.. Me I am feeling horrible. Decided to try positive thinking to make myself feel better, so I went tanning today. Felt wonderful...needed some vitamin D and some warmth. Then tonight I am going out with a friend for a drink. i think it's what I need and honestly can't feel much worse! Fe's are almost done I think...I guess I won't be done for sure till July 20th when we cut off the list...then I feel I can be done and not have to worry about it.
The kids are excited, we got a small air hockey table today, so that and the Wii in the entertainment room. Hopeing to have it in tip top shape by October...Still unsure what we want down there! Sorta crazy shaped room...more like a rectangle..kinda hard to lay out stuff. Oh well gotta get Sydney in 30 mins. She has early release day today! TTFN

Sorry that I have been MIA for the last couple of weeks. I have been reading but somehow I have never quite found the time to post.

Things have been pretty exciting around here. My sister told me last week that she will get married in September. I am so excited. I have not even met her husband to be as yet. They had only just got together when I was in Germany last July and even my parents had not met him at that stage. So the first time I will actually get to meet him will be on the wedding. I have to say that is a little bit strange. My parents are also moving house about 6 weeks prior to the wedding. They have lived in the same apartment for over 23 years. We moved there when I was 11 and most mile stones in my life happened while they lived there. I am happy for them, but I am also slightly sad. All going well, the wedding will be on September 12th. They will only have a civic wedding and have chosen one of the historical buildings in the town where my parents live as the venue for the ceremony. The reception will take place at the same location I had my wedding reception 11 years ago.

I had not planned for this when I booked our vacation, but I will only go over for a long weekend and two days are my scheduled days off. Unfortunately because everything was so short notice and they had a vacation booked for two weeks starting today, they did not manage to schedule an appointment to get it all booked and organised until the end of May. At the moment there are only three time slots left for September 12th, so there is a risk that they will be filled by the time they have their appointment. I suppose if everything goes according to plan, I have to seriously think about a wedding outfit.

Actually, talking about outfits, I have something else exciting to look forward to. I love the wire work jewellery of a very gifted young artist in New Hampshire. I buy stuff from her quite regularly and also had her make some custom pieces for me. She made me a set of customer jewellery to go with my formal dress for last year's cruise and I decided to do the same again for my new formal dress. This time I bought the beads that I want included here and sent them to her and she will make me some jewellery out of them. She has just emailed me this weekend that the beads have arrived and that we need to schedule a video appointment to get the details sorted out. We did this last year as well and it was so much fun. She had the webcam on while she worked on my jewellery and we discussed the design while she was working on it. We have scheduled the video appointment for Friday. By the end of the week I should be able to post photos of my finished treasures. Once a custom piece is complete, she emails photos for final approval. Once I have them, I will post them here.

I have to give some more thought what to do for my Fish Extender gifts. I had planned to make Mickey Head pendants using semi-precious stone beads and Swarovski crystals. I finally got around to making the prototype and it simply did not work out. So back to planning stages for me. I am sure something will come to me before we cruise. I really want to give something that I have made rather than something store bought.

Hello all, just wanted to jump on and say 4 MONTHS AND 4 WEEKS!!. It is going to go by soooo fast!
I also am very excited to announce that I have figured out what I'm going to make for the adult FE gifts. I'm very excited about it. That being said, if everyone could PM me their address and last name that would be a big help. If you don't want to, or dont feel comfortable giving your address to a psycho disney lady, I totally understand, I can make them without the address too so it's no big deal.

Here's my attempt at posting pictures of some of our dresses, not sure if it's going to work. They don't look all that exciting on the hanger, but they look really cute on.

Here is three for formal night (maybe--haven't decided yet) L to R mine, Baileys, and either Ashley or Riley, if Riley wears it we have to get it altered, but I don't think it will fit Ash anymore... The green poke a dots in Baileys match the green of the other two dresses, it's hard to tell in this picture...

And last but not least, my dress for Palo. It looks better on then it does in this picture. In the pic it looks black and red, but it's actually dark brown and red (kind of burnt orange/red)

I am still undecided about MNSSHP. I really wanted to do this this year, but that was when we were planning to stay at BLT. DH would not come. This would be his personal nightmare. As much as I want to experience this, I am not sure if I really want to travel back on the buses after midnight to either AKV or OKW. If I do decide to go for it then it will be after our cruise.

We have finally made a decision about the three nights before our cruise. We will stay at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Airport. We stayed their for one night before the cruise last year and loved it. We will go to the Florida Mall one day and I am hoping to get a day at Seaworld in on the other. I think our hotels are really close. The address for ours is 5555 Hazeltine National Drive and for yours is 5750 Hazeltine National Drive. We are also going on the Disney bus.

I am so sorry I totally forgot to PM you the details for the FE. I will do so right away.

We get to book our reservations on June 20th, because we have the REAS package booked. So as soon as I am back from our upcoming cruise, I will make our final payment. That is going to be an interesting weekend. We will have our company barbecue on the 19th so I won't get back home until quite late. Then I have to get up at 5 am my time to make my reservations and then I am on an early shift, so there is no point going back to bed as I would get up at 6 am anyway. I just hope that the coffee machine is not broken that day.

Thanks Kristi...I figured you must have booked through Disney, as that is usually the first people that start to recieve stuff. This is the first time we didn't book directly through Disney, so I guess I will have to be patient.
Nice to hear from you Corinna. I can't wait to see your jewelry! Congrats to your sister...that will make time go by even faster for you. Right after her wedding you will be coming accross the pond for the cruise.
Well, the painting is done. I just got off the phone ordering the bark for the playard, it will be delivered tomorrow. I wanted to wait until the painting was done so I didn't have to worry about getting paint on it. Once the bark is in place Ryan will redo the sprinklers and then we will order the sod. Then it's just loose ends to tie up and we'll be done!
Well, I'm headed to Home Depot for stepping stones and plants.

I thought we weren't coming in til really late but we'll be in around 6pm. Obviously we'll have an obligation to do dinner with our family but I'll keep your hotel info with me in case things would make it easy for us to meet up that night.

Okay, so the quick update on Katelin. On Friday the doctor didn't see anything bad and said she had a cold. However, by Monday night she hit a 105 degree fever. Richard put her in a cool bath and called the doctor. The cool bath brought her fever down to 102 but 30 minutes later when they were at the doctor's office it was back up to 105. Turns out that over the weekend she developed a severe ear infection. It actually made the doctor go "whoa". He gave her a very painful shot of medication that was so strong my husband and Katelin were required to stay in the office for 20 minutes to make sure she didn't have a reaction. Then they gave her some Tylenol and sent him home with that and a bottle of Children's Motrin. The shot of meds was good for 36 hours. We now have her on her other antibiotic and are giving her Tylenol or Motrin for the pain. She's had it rough and right now she's still in alot of pain. So she is very uncomfortable. Although she is now eating more, it is apparent that it hurts a bit. So, that's what we've been dealing with. Thankfully her childcare provider is away (on a cruise no less) and we have her at home all this week. Poor baby.

So that is all we've been up to. LOL Have ideas for our FE but haven't bought anything yet. I still have to order Katelin's formal dress. I still have to have my dress tailored (and am worried it might not be able to be tailored so pray please). I still would like to get one or two sundress type outfits but am not stuck to that. I've gotta get with the program!!!!! Only 4 months and 3 weeks (give or take a day or two) left.

With that said, I'm headed out of work for the day. Have a good one.

I will have the laptop with me when I come to Florida and will have free internet access at the hotel. We already check in on September 30th, so I can PM you the details on how to contact us. If we do manage to meet up on the evening before the cruise, then great. If not we will probably meet up the next morning. The hotel has a shuttle to the airport that leaves at 8:15 and that is the one I intend to be on. Last year we were the first people to check in. Once we were checked in, I went up to the main terminal to have a browse at Lush and then on to Starbucks to get a Green Tea Frappuccino (sadly no longer available in the UK). Once I had that, we went to sit on a bench outside to absorb some of the warmth and see all the buses going backwards and forwards. We then ended up on the first bus so that worked well for us.

I am still dealing with a cold and kinda tired but I think the other day when I said I was miserable , well I think I had allergies and a cold. The tightness in my chest has subsided, so the allergy meds might be working. However I do have a head of gook, sneezing, blowing my nose and coughing from all that but feeling a bit better.

Last night I went out for a well needed drink & to listen to a friend perform. Good laughs and a MGD 64 and that's what I needed.


Andrea---sounds like u are gonna have a lovely backyard when u r done!!!

Corinna---sorry ur FE idea wasn"t working as planned....sounds like it would be great! can"t wait to see ur custom jewelry!!

Good Morning all. I got my excursion packet in the mail yesterday too I was so excited that I had to call Andrea and tell her and as I was talking to her Ryan walked in with their mail and she got hers too! Now the planning can really begin...just have to find some money for all the extras I want.

I hope everyone is feeling better. Wow, 105 fever, that is scary. I hope Kaitlin is feeling better today...poor little thing...I just hate when little ones are sick, you just feel so helpless.

My FE gifts for the kids are coming along really well. I can't figure out a way to make the adult gifts without taking out a loan so I have to rethink that one.

Yep, we got our stuff in the mail yesterday! And even though this will be our third DC I read that thing cover to cover! I was so excited to get it! It's getting close! I look at our tickers and I can remember (not too long ago)when our tickers had a year left and I would see people posting that only had a few months and I was so envious, and now that's us!
Kristi-I'm so sorry Kaitlin has been miserable. I hope the med's are starting to work and she gets better soon. It is so hard when babies are so sick.
I think we are pretty much set for dinner attire, with the exception of Ash, she could use a couple more summer dresses or capri/top outfits. I did read on the Disney webset that they allow jeans in the dinning rooms now...is that new? I don't think I will tell Ashley or Ryan though, cuz they will want to wear jeans everynight and we never get dressed up, sooo...don't anybody tell my family that you can wear jeans in the dinning rooms!
