I have an 8, 11 ds and 17 yr old dd. Where are you staying? What excursions are you planning?
I want to snorkel, but have not decided which trips to go on.

We're staying in an inside stateroom on Deck 7 aft (we had a balcony stateroom on our first cruise in January which was fabulous - I hope I don't regret not having one this time!!). I think we're going to book a snorkel excursion with Stuart Cove's in the Bahamas rather than booking an excursion through the ship. I didn't book any tours through the ship in January and everything worked out great and it was much cheaper. I'm not sure yet what we're going to do on CC but I got totally hooked on snorkeling on our January cruise so we'll probably do some snorkeling on CC too.

I have guaranteed cabins, so I hope we get something halfway decent!

Have you been on the Wonder before? Nassau?

I am guessing that snorkeling at CC is not the greatest, but they do have an excursion- I wonder if that is better?

I normally don't book with the ship's excursions, but we will probably not take the younger kids snorkelling. Since they will be staying on the ship, I will be alot more worried about making it back before the ship leaves. At least if we do the Disney trip, they have to get us back!

It will be our first time on the Wonder and our first time to Nassau...we're really looking forward to it. Our DD wasn't with us on our January cruise so this will be her first cruise.

Your kids are staying on the ship in CC?! Our DD is SO shy - I doubt very much she'll go to the kids club when we're on the ship, let alone when we're OFF the ship!! I'm sure she would have a lot of fun in the kids club but she has so much anxiety about being around kids she doesn't know that it prevents her from doing things that we know would be fun for her.

Anybody else out there going on the 27th? It can't be just the two of us!!

I have been to Nassau a couple of times and it is not my favorite port. But, when you can only go on a 3 day, that is about the only place to go. It was quite a few years ago- I don't remember that much about what we did- but I don't think we went snorkeling.

No- my kids will not stay on the ship at CC. I was talking about Nassau. If we go snorkeling in Nassau, I will leave them on the ship. Maybe my daughter will come with us. Depending on how the time works out, maybe we will take them to the pirate museum, or the beach.

My kids are not too shy. I don't think they will have any problems going in the kids clubs. At least I hope not! We will be with them all week at WDW before we go, so it will be nice to have a break. Hopefully the counselors will help your daughter meet a few kids?

Since booking this cruise I've read a lot of negative things about Nassau so I hope we're not disappointed but that's partly why we're going to go on a snorkeling excursion - I don't care much about walking around Nassau and it sounds like the straw market is a place to avoid. I would like to see Atlantis if there's enough time.

Like you said, I'm hoping the counselors will help our DD meet some of the kids (if we can even get her that far!! ).

I just read the thread on Nassau- ugh
If that kind of stuff happens on the trip, it will be DH's 1st and last cruise!
I am a little more tolerant than he is, so when I have been to places like that, I just brush it off.
I think I will stick to a snorkeling trip and maybe take the boys to the pirate museum and beach for a bit.
Maybe I need to leave DH in the kids club. I may never get on a ship again if he gets hassled!
