Guess we'll have to keep our ears open over the next few weeks!

Well, here's a tidbit: over on the Resorts Board, someone posted that they called CR and was told that the North Wing was closed for rehab, effective today, 10/2.

Hrmm... I wonder if "closed for rehab" really means "closed for demo!"

The post I read said rooms 7000-8000 are closed for rehab. Is that the whole wing?

Also don't forget Oct 1 was a Sunday and usually corporate announcements happen during business operations......so maybe we will hear something today in the late afternoon........

I saw a rumor the press event might be on the 4th on Good Morning America. To be safe, I set up TIVO to tape it.

As best as I can figure, the Oct 4th event is the kick off for YOMD. Rumor has it that the GMA segment will be shot at the Main Street train station.

We checked out of the Contemporary North Wing yesterday and on Friday housekeeping stopped by and said Sunday was the very last day of the building because it was being torn down! She came by again yesterday to say the same thing. When I mentioned it at the front desk the lady said, "It's not being torn-down, it's being rehabbed." I tend to believe housekeeping...

We also met with DVC on Thursday and I asked about the Contemporary rumor. He said nothing is confirmed but knew about all the rumors, the pics of the plans on certain websites (here!), etc. But whenever we were asking about points/prices he always added to his remarks, "Now if the Contemporary happens..." So I think it really is. He did emphasize that the picture shown on-line (he'd seen it) had probably been through many revisions since that particurlar one was completed.

It will be interesting to see what happens. All I do know is that it's a great location. We hated our room - dirty, nothing worked, etc. - but the location - fantastic! We might actually buy into DVC if this rumor turns out to be true!

Since we're still in the speculation mode, here's a scenario to fit the rehab theory. When the CR-DVC rumors first popped up 2-3 years ago, the location was to be at the CR Tennis Center. Soooo... if you've got a major construction project going in on the north side of the CR, it would be a good time to rehab the north wing.

I love rumors.
