DH has been booking airplane tickets, booking our rental car and hotel room for the night before. I've been hording glow-in-the-dark Pirate silly bandz and am ramping up to start work on my cruise spreadsheet. We have friends traveling with us and it will be their first Disney cruise for them and their 3 kids!
and when I am I look like this guy minus the cofee --->
so I am not posting much. I have been busy working on DizzlandDeb's Birtday surprise, planning our attire ( as I need to buy our summer clothes all big enough for the kids to be in Oct. and where I am at they only have summer clothes out a couple months of the year) and anxiously awaiting little man's birth certificate so we can apply for his passport
Hope everyone is doing well. I just scanned through quickly enough to see there were some deaths in families, so my condolences on your losses
What else did I miss?So we have made it under the 5 month mark! What is everyone doing to kill the time? I'm going CRAZY!

not fun, but we made it back to the hotel!!!Packing up a kid to send him on his way
Mets won last night, was a pretty good game. Garmin took me through some not so nice places in Atlanta at 11 pmnot fun, but we made it back to the hotel!!!
oohh, a cruise spreadsheet! That sounds interesting! How exciting for your friends to take their first Disney cruise! I am working on our excursions. We can book them 2 months from day, so I am trying to plan eveything out.

. I have also started looking for a nice dress for formal night, but haven't found anything yet. And today, I have printed out our door magnets on magnetic paper, that turned out much better than I expected!
I always do this as a form of therapy before the cruise, but it is especially helpful for first-timers. For each day of the cruise, I list these: port (with arrival and departure times) or sea day, AM or PM excursions that we have planned, dinner (main or late) with theme/dress, show, and drinks of the day. At the bottom, I put our stateroom # so that our friends have it. I use the Walt Disney font and add Disney clip-art here and there.
You drove back home after the game last night?
Our cabin is on Deck 7 Aft #7509. Maybe you can get something close to that.
Being a cruise newbie myself, this has made me curious:
How do you know in advance what the theme, dress code and show will be each day? Is there a way to find out in advance, or are you making educated guesses based on prior cruise experience? Or did you mean you just sort of do the "framework" and then fill in all the details once you are on board?
Thanks in advance for explaining!
There is really only one themed night- Pirate, there is a formal and semi formal night. But you will see all kinds from Jeans to Tuxes! I don't think as many do formal as they used to. I know we don't. I try to pack lighter each time.
