got it.....but I thought we were on the first sailing after drydock?

Won't the Magic already be back from Europe?

Your right Nancy we will be the first sailing after drydock.... I hope things are working better than after this last drydock!!!!!!!!!!!!

i dunno:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

We should ask nenner......
I think she seemed to know or maybe her DH!

Hey all,
We are the first cruise out of drydock and the first cruise post Europe. The Magic is heading straight from Europe to drydock. Of Course with the last drydock they added an extra sailing before and after drydock. Our last cruise was supposed to be the first out of the most recent drydock, but they snuck in a 3 nighter right before us. :confused3 I hope they use all the time planned for drydock next time around because they had so many problems with the ship not being truly ready (up to Disney standards) because they cut the drydock short.

VERANDAH???????????

Okay i just read the thread on the DCL boards about VERANDAHS.......
ANd everytime i read one of these i get confused........
Not hard for me to do.

Anyway....
The SVR........Secret Verandah Rooms are they the same thing as the NAVIGATORS room?

Becasue they are saying the Navigators have solid wall..........
I DONT WANT A SOLID WALL!!!!!!!!

I would be soooo disappointed if i got there and had a solid wall.

Please help if i have to change rooms i will but need to know!!!!!!!!

Oh Dizzi! This is Deja Vu all over again... :lmao: The SV rooms do not have a solid wall with the porthole. Those are the navigator verandahs. The 4 secret verandah rooms are known as such because they are a regular verandah with a slight obstruction. Because of the obstruction they are classified as a cat 7 along with the navigators instead of being a 5 or a 6. :goodvibes I'm pretty sure Nenner posted the pics earlier in our thread. Way back in the day (October).

I thought of that too. It does make me think about reconsidering this cruise since it is just right after drydock. Last time there were sooo many problems that the first guests encountered...!!!!

Hey guys just checking in to say hey!

Our laptop is busted...again.....:confused3 . We broke the LCD and the ooze is slowly creeping over my screen so it has to go in for repair. I won't be able to check in for a few weeks, but Ron will still follow along from work. :thumbsup2

Dry dock, yes...we were a bit skeptical to find out about that dry dock right before this cruise. Our last one didn't go so great...even though we were on the second cruise after dry dock. I would just say expect the worst and maybe we will be pleasantly surprised. I know the Magic will be sorely in need of some attention by then, the staterooms did not even get any updates to them (except for the TV's) on the last dry dock. Not even new linens. :sad2: Our room had a big ol plaster spot on the wall that had been there since before 2006 according to the stateroom report. Of course that was the room we ended up in, not the room we were supposed to be in, which is an entirely other story! :upsidedow

So, everyone have a great weekend! See ya real soon, I hope. :yay:

it's just because they left drydock earlier to have a special cruise. If they had stayed in drydock like they were suppose to everything would of been done...the next cruise after that they had everything working fine, so I'm not worried

Oh gosh why was did you get into the wrong room....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What else was wrong on the cruise?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good morning everyone!
it's cold here today, we got tons of snow last night and now I think we have to go out there to shovel the driveway....ugh can't wait for spring!!!!!!!!

We were the next cruise after the special cruise... Things were not really up to par yet. Long list of things! :scared1: But I'll only bore you with a few. The Mickey pool was being repaired more often than it was open. The new splash zone for the tots was still being constructed. They would open it a few times during the cruise but most of the time they were working on it (By the time we were leaving the ship it was about done and it looked great.). CMs were also painting on deck a lot more than usual. I know they do this all the time, but on this cruise it was easily 2 to 3 times as much as usual (fumes were bad!). They were still busy installing new carpet and it had a bad smell from the glue.

Very long story with the room... :rolleyes1 We were originally booked in 2 rooms directly across the hall from each other. Two days before our cruise I noticed on our on line reservation info that one of our room numbers had changed. I had to call DCL and our travel agent and after going back and forth with both several times :headache: found out that our original room was in need of repair. :confused3 When we got on board we noticed the the room obviously had a plumbing issue because the floor outside that room (the hallway between that room and our inside cabin.) were constantly wet and stinky. There were constantly CMs shuttling in and out of that room. When the door was open I noticed all the furniture was up off the floor. Now if they had stayed in drydock as long as originally scheduled they could have fixed this problem before they set sail and had to inconvenience anyone.

Anyway even with all the issues it was still a great cruise... And if you want to know more check out nenner's trip report. She has a link to it in her signature. :cool1:

Well I know i am crazy BUT!!!! i also know that the next 6 months or so are going to be crazy for us what with looking for a house and then moving uuugh.........

I am starting to think about clothes and if i am going to make them this time around or purhase them. And if i am going to make anything i need to get it going.

I guess i will start witht he PJs i didnt get finished last time around. Although i am thing of just making robes instead since we will be crossing halways this time to get bak and forth to other room. A nice Mickey print robe would be nice for me.

Also thinking about Pirate Night.....I think we are just going to do t shirts with a pirate theme and jeans and flip flops so i may get started on those too!!!

Well i gotta go to a Gm meeting .........R you guys even out there some days i feel like i am talking to myself!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

I`m not even going to worry about clothes for now....way too early and I need to go on a diet so I might need smaller clothes by the time we sail!!!

Well i hope to loose weight too!!!!

But i think i can start some tshirts or something i guess i just need something to do to keep me feeling like the cruise is getting closer and closer.

I sooooooo much want to go on a cruise.

I saw a cruise ship leaving port the other day from here and i was sooooo jealous. It is just not theyear for us to take one.........not with trying to buy a house............WWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH

Hello all!!!!

I think Nancy is going in Jan of 2010. It might be a little difficult to go in 09 since the first week of January is over and we are already into the second week!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
