Oct 10th thru the 15th

Hey everybody. I was just wondering if anything out of the ordinary was going on during these dates. Thats when we will be in Disnyland and im just wondering if there will be anything like special conventions or events or anything that week that will effect crowd levels. I understand it is Halloween time, Im just wondering if there is anything about that particular week that would make crowds larger.

Anyone have an idea what crowds will be like that week?

We usualy go in mid September and the crowds then are not bad at all. Im guessing they will be worse during Oct?

We will be there at the same time (Sun-Wed), here's what I've figured out. Sun/Mon will be busy because Monday is Columbus Day. Tue will probably be busy due to MHP that night. Wed hopefully not too bad. Thur & Fri begin the Utah school holiday, which usually makes the park busier.
I think there was something else going on that weekend also, but I can't remember.

Overall, I think it will be pretty busy, so I'm trying to do as much planning ahead of time as I can!

Many Arizona schools have fall break that week too. In another thread someone pointed out some kind of education convention and a movie festival in Anaheim. I'm not sure how much those will affect crowds, but I'm sure the Utah and Arizona fall breaks will.

I'd plan for crowds, and if you're wrong you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We were there last year on similar dates (Columbus Day and the two days after). Monday was pretty busy, but Tuesday and Wednesday were very pleasant, especially because it got a little rainy and the crowds dropped off.

If I knew I had more than a couple days, I'd focus on doing a couple big things on the weekend, like Fantasmic that won't play on weekdays, or doing some character meals. Then when the crowds lighten up mid-week it's easier to do rides.

Between the Halloween stuff and the AZ school breaks, it can be a busy week. I know we saw several families from home while there -- very popular thing to do over our fall break.
