I know this has been asked before but for me getting my DD8 signed up for Oceaneers Lab is top priority over Palos and massages. I read you can sign up in the terminal - but exactly where? We sail 3/12 and I can finally put this info in my head and retain it!!!

Thanks

Once you check-in you head straight ahead to get in line to board (at least we do :) ) and then ahead of you, you see the ship and just before the doors to go outside, there is a tiny shop there, and this is where it can be done. Hopefully, there is another one of you, and you can have one wait in line, just have your dd with your, so she can get her wristband.

Just wanted to let you know, that you do not have to do this in the terminal. You can wait and do this at any time in the clubs on deck 5.

I heard some people say they do. Is that for 8-9 year olds or all age levels? If I wait until we are on the ship, do I run the risk of not getting her signed up?

I have heard some people say that have a certain max.. number, but that is why sometimes you can make a reservation for adults, and no children. Once they reach the maximum number of children onboard, they can no longer make reservations for any other. At least this is what I was told at the Clubs. So, my answer is NO they can not refuse, you have paid for this....

I actually thought this was the smallest number of children(8-9 yr old)

Fair notice that this post is by someone whose DW was in the terminal line to sign up DW, 8, for the lab in January, and I could not believe when over an hour later and the line toboard started moving, she wasn't done yet, and finally I got to the front of the line and had to step to the side for 15 more minutes until DW and DS returned and we finally boarded. Then when we swung by the Lab to pick up an age group Navigator, we saw how no one was there and we could have taken the form we got at sign in and just gone to the Club and gotten him registered in 5 minutes with it already filled out.

So to keep that 5 minute time frame the same, I am encouraging everyone to register in the terminal whilst we will slyly wait until we are on board.

In law school we called this technique of misinformation and intentionally creating anxiety in others to our own advantage being a "Cut-throat". Which, considering the Pirate theme and all, is appropriate, right?

So reading between the lines, you may wish to hold off and register on board if the line looks like it might delay your boarding. Or at least that was our experience in january 2005 on the Wonder.

Thanks for sharing!

So being that we won't get to the port till about 2pm, will I be too late to sign up my DS for the Lab?

I hope not, this is what he's looking forward to the most.

There's really no such thing as "too late" for Lab sign up the first day, if you can't do it in the port do it on board in the Lab, you won't have a problem. Have a wonderful trip!

I think the confusion may lie in that Flounder's Reef has a maximum enrollment (for infants).
