We hope to cruise in 2003 when our dds are 3 and 7 years old. I understand that while they will both be in the Oceaneers Club, there are actually 2 divisions w/in it. The description I read makes the 3-4 group sound much more fun--activities w/Peter Pan, Flounder, Belle, etc. The older activities look like mostly science experiments. Will the 5-7 year olds get to be with characters and have "Disney-type" activities too?

If your planning for 2003 -- book soon! The biggest discounts given are for early booking discounts --- the earlier you book, the bigger the discount. You need $200 per person to hold a ressie -- it is refundable up until 60 days before your cruise date if you decide to cancel.

Here is a list of Navigatores (activities) which may help you to better understand what might be offered to your children:

My girls were 5 and 7 and loved the camp. We had a few beeps when the 7 year old group would separate and the 5 year old wanted to go with them. The 7 year old did get to see some characters in camp but I am not sure she saw them all. The 7 year old tells me her favorite part of the camp was going to the lab for free play.

I didn't know that they separate the 5-7 group. I have two boys 5 and 7 and I think the 5 yo will be quite upset if he is separated from his brother. One of the main reasons we are going on the DCL now is so they can be together in the Club. Do they separate the group often? And do they tell you ahead of time?

Thanks for the responses. I'd tried the navigator link elsewhere on the site last night but couldn't get it to work.

Whiskers, I read on the Dreams Unlimited site that the ages are 3-4 and 5-7, so according to that your sons will not be separated.

I'd hoped to go next year because it was the only time they fell within the same age group. I didn't know they would be sub-divided again. They'll do fine in separate groups, but I'm worried about the jealousy factor if the younger one is doing things that the older one perceives as more fun. Heck, I'm a little jealous myself. Heehee. Dh says he actually has 3 little girls.

Oh no! :( DS5 is not going to want to be sub-divided from his brother. I might have a problem here:( Do you think we could request that they not be sub-divided?
