Oceaneer's Club 3-4 Year Old Question

Our 2 year old who spent her time at Flounder's away from her parents this last trip will graduate to the Oceaneer's Club on our next cruise next year when she'll be 3 years old (and of course potty trained).
What happens to your child in the 3-4 year old age group at night if they get tired and want to go to sleep?
If they parents are planning an evening to themselves at the Clubs or elsewhere is there a way to "guarantee" that the parents can have this age group child watched until a time later than their typical early evening bedtimes?
Is there an area where they can nap at until the Parents are ready to pick them up at a later time?
Or, do you have to make time for them at Flounder's?

In the evening they put on a movie and put mats down for the little ones to lay down on. And they do fall asleep. The club was open to 1 AM when we cruised last year.

Last year I saw all kinds of attire in the club - formal dresswear to pjs. I think one night is designated "pajama party" but I see nothing wrong with bringing them there in the pjs, especially if you're going to be out late. It makes it much easier to transport them to bed!

My kids never fell asleep in the club, but we usually picked them up by 10:30 or so, we were exhausted ourselves from the day's activities. This year I'm going to make an effort to hit some of the fun "after-hours" parties so my kids will def. be there in their jammies!

This thread raised a question for me. My daughter is 4 and fully potty trained, but still wears a pull up at night. Would it be ok to bring her to the club after dinner in a pull up if we are planning to pick her up after she has fallen asleep?

great question! I don't know if there's a hard and fast rule, but I bet it's ok. We saw "group potty trips" for the 3-4 age set, but that was at random times throughout the day or early evening. You might ask if they do those post-10 o'clock (or whenever) and if your dd is able to pull the pull-up up and down without destroying it (usually my dd was able to do this at home when she wore them), I would think it's not a big issue at all.

I know a lot of kids are not night-time dry for years, so I would think this has to happen often.

I also have a question about the Oceaneer Club regarding my two dd's (one will be 5 on our cruise and the other will be 3 the week after our cruise).

When we port at Nassau, I want to go to the Atlantis Resort for a while (probably no more than 3-4 hours). I just want to see it and take some pictures, etc. Both dd's will have no problem staying in the club, I just wondered if anyone has left their children there while actually leaving the ship and while being out of pager range. DD who will be 3, has been potty trained for a while, so that won't be an issue. Dh just has some reservations about leaving them on the ship while we are away. Any advice about this would be great.

we left our kids (5 and 3.75) while on Key West and I think we were out of pager range. I was worried/aprehensive a bit but we weren't gone long (2-3 hours) and they were fine when we got back.

The counselors are excellent at really working with them, especially if they know you'll be off the ship - just let them know when you drop them off.

And, my kids never wanted to leave the clubs at all, so I shouldn't have worried!

We'd hoped that our kids would fall asleep in the club last year, but it never happened. And, since our kids need their sleep, otherwise they are miserable, and since they always wake up before 7:00 a.m. no matter what time they go to sleep, we had to stop our activities by 9:00ish to pick them up. We are hoping that this year will be better, because I love the dualling pianos in Vegas, and would love to see them on the ship.
