Ocean for the day?

Just wondering how far it is to the nearest nice ocean beach. Thinking of taking a break for a day and seeing the Ocean....

About an hour and a half (or less) to Cocoa Beach using the Bee Line, SR 528.

I think you will like Cocoa Beach and the surrounding area.

If you want the clearest most calmest water with nice white sand beaches and lots of shells you might want to try the Gulf Beaches. It's a little over an hour drive Southwest and Your kids would enjoy it. We usually head to Madeira Beach because of the great shopping area called John's Pass which you can head to for a break from the sun.
There also are lots of great resauaunts close by.
