I was thinking of just taking my 4 year old DS next year and going with my friend and her 4 year old. We could share a state room but when I have tried to price it on line it states double occupancy???

Does it cost more for me (1 adult) and my 4 year old to occupy the stateroom then it would for 2 adults and a child?

If I understand it correctly the first two occupants of any stateroom are charged as adults. So just you and your 4yo ds in a stateroom would cost the same as 2 adults.

You can have up to 4 in a stateroom up to a category 5, I don't think category 12 and 7's hold 4 people. Also, the category 4's hold 5 people. Don't worry about it, you'll be able to share. If you don't, you'll have to pay for 2 adults for your stateroom, the first two people booked in a stateroom pay as adults regardless of age.

Reveric is correct, the first and second passengers in a cabin (regardless of age) are charged at adult fare rates.
