On the WDW site, when booking or looking at the "magical stays of $1500 or less for 6 nights/7days", it says the moderates and below that it says the max. Occup of the moderates is 5. Is this true??? On their own web site they say it!!!!

Did not want to start a occupancy thread, just wanting to know if 5 is ok....
THANKS!

As far as I know it is only Port Orleans Riverside that will sleep 5. I am sure if you call they would tell you that.

That's correct. Only POR allows 5 in a room and that is only in AB where they have a small trundle bed. This is for a child under 10.

Of course, they don't count children under 3, so you could have 4 in a room (5 in POR AB) in other moderates plus an infant under 3.

we (legally!) had five in our CBR room w/a rollaway... dh, 2 kids (4 adn 6 yo) and i were there for nine nights back in aug/sept '01 and my niece came to stay w/us for the last three nights... CBR mgmt knew she was there, brought us a rollaway, and did not say anything about occupancy issues... at the time, i did not know there could have been a problem, but they allowed it... so maybe it is still permissable? :confused3

Did you ask at check in if your niece could join you and not through CRO? If so, that is probably why you were able to do this, because if you asked CRO when you booked your room, they would tell you that the maximum is 4. They have more flexibility at the resort than CRO as their computer system won't allow them to book more than 4 in a room.

We also tried requesting 5 at POR in the mansion section but was told by CRO that 4 was the maximum. However, when we checked in, I asked the CM if we could get a rollaway and stay in MB since we've always gotten AB and I really wanted to stay on the mansion side to see what the rooms were like. They did let us get the rollaway and we stayed in Oak Manor.

we actually asked once we were there 'cause it was unsure 'til the last minute if she would be joining us... she also did not need tix (ap holder) although we were on a package, they did not insist that she be added in to the package!

The resort can be more flexible than CRO. That's good that they didn't make her part of the package since she already had APs.
