If you have 3 kids, all over 3 but under 8, do you have to pay $25 extra for rollaway bed? It says first come first serve, do you have to pay for it even though you don't get one? Thanks.

We also have 3 kids and two are teens. We have yet to rent the rollaway. We just bring an aerobed, as do a lot of people. We always pack our own linens, but many here have reported that the cleaning staff will make the bed and furnish linens for you. You are not required to get the rollaway.

We just got back from a stay in a deluxe HRH room with five of us, and our kids are 20, 17, and 14. The deluxe rooms have the sofabed as well as the two queens, but none of our kids can sleep with anyone, so we brought an aerobed for DD14. It worked out great!

I don't see deluxe rooms with 2 beds and a sofabed listed as a choice on the website. Does anyone know the APH rate for this type of room?

TIA!

I don't know about the APH rate, but the rack rate for our dates (6/29-7/1) was something like $380 on the UO website when I first looked into it -- ouch! But I called the hotel directly to ask for a military rate and got it down to $254. Still a lot for us, but I figured 5 Express Plus passes would run us $200/day, so we went for it! It was SO worth it, we loved it!!

So for the standard rooms that say two double beds (like at RPR) but sleep up to 5, I can fill with 2 adults and 3 young children (over 3, under 8) and not pay any surcharges? I thought I read something about having to pay $25 for a foldout when have occupancy of 5. Thanks.

That is correct. And it is actually under 18, not 8 :thumbsup2 . Like I mentioned, we have 3 children, two being teens and one 9 year old. Only once have they offered the rollaway, and they didn't blink an eye when I declined and told them I was bringing an aerobed.

I have seen mentioned in a few places that a rollaway is necessary, but they have never enforced it, and most of the time, never even asked us if we needed one. And they know the kids ages and how many there are because they print the room cards at check-in.

You shouldn't have a problem at all. :goodvibes

We also have 3 kids over the age of 3. We were offered the rollaway when we checked in to our standard room at the RPR but declined. There was no problem and we spent the $25 a day elsewhere. Have fun!
